“I stayed on Oceanside view, although it’s not an actual beach the view was beautiful . Staff kept grounds clean including my room. No issues with anything on the resort. There are not a lot of activities to engage in on the resort but they offer excursions and transportation you can book through them. Beyond the Reef was amazing I suggest booking with them. Only downside is a strong smell of Sargassum which taints the smell a lot but I spent a lot of time around the town so didn’t bother me as……

“No refrigerator or microwave . A refrigerator is on request. Toilet paper should be readily available in the rooms but you have to ask . Overall , staff was amazing and service is superbly helpful. It is very secluded so if you are looking for action you won't find it here but across the split is where you can find entertainment. You will have to take the go cart they provide to ride to the ferry which is $5 round trip .”

Wonderful staff - all friendly and so helpful.
Fantastic room which was kept extremely clean and tidy by the awesome cleaning and turn down staff. The A/C kept the room consistently cool and comfy too! The amenities and resort overall were beautiful! Matachica has a very calm and peaceful vibe. I can’t recommend it enough! (Especially for a honeymoon or extra special trip of a different sort)
