"They say when you come to Euskadi you don't make friends, you make family. Well... at Maria Chirtina they make you feel at home. The attention to details, the service and the beautiful architecture and decor make it one of the finest hotels I've been in my life. Will come back for sure!"

"This is an Axel hotel so I expected certain amenities and support. The room was great and spacious, as well as finely equipped. The pool area was good but lacked services like food and drinks. There was no rooftop scene to get into at night. Recommendations about bars and nightlife were severely lacking. There were a couple small touches at the pool area, like a small glass of champagne was served once while I was there. Could be an amazing property with a few enhancements being made. Location cannot be beat. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!! The property and area very safe day and night. There were a few restaurants right around the corner with a very local vibe."

"Iconic hotel on La Concha beach. Can't beat the location! Staff is amazing. Breakfast buffet so yummy, although not inexpensive. The restaurant and bar staff on point. Front desk team helpful. Concierge, while a lovely person, gave a few recommendations that were "duds." The hotel is "older" and we had some issues with our air conditioning maintenance responded changed filters, but it never got to a temperature that was cool enough for us; but it was also a heatwave, so I assume the system was stressed out. We had an ocean view which was amazing although the room itself was smaller than expected. Large bathroom! Overall, great stay!"

"This hotel in my opinion, occupies one of the best positions along the La Concha promenade and importantly has a terrace which many other properties do not. Everything about the stay was exceptional. The in-room amenities were well thought out. We stayed in a delux room with a sea view. There is a pillow menu available and my feather pillow was delivered within minutes of asking for it. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and everything refreshed regularly so it was all fresh. The hotel is able to supply beach towels, umbrellas and deck chairs for the beach. The reception team cannot do enough for you and the bar/waiting team are very efficient and friendly. There is really nothing we can say other than this hotel and it's team provided us with a first class stay. Thank you!"
