First, it was not communicated that the onsite parking closes at 4:00 PM. As a result, we had to park in the lot next door and pay an additional €10. “The hotel is good and the staff is friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The problem we had was with our welcome to the hotel. We travelled by train to Heidelberg and did not have a lot of control over when we got to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 1:30pm (check in time 3pm). When we tried to check in, we were told we were a little early, but if we paid 20 Euro extra we could check in. Most every hotel we stay at has a check in time, but will not……

“Very accomodating staff. I was planning to arrive after check-in and they have a very well organized system to get your keys and to you. The rooms are small, at least the one I was in, but very comfortable and clean and very well equipped and thought out. It is peacful and queit and conviniently close to the train station with a short walk.
