Staff were very friendly. Clean room with comfortable beds and functional en-suite. Good breakfast and free parking all at a very reasonable price. We didn’t eat here throughout the day as we were attending a wedding elsewhere but the food looked amazing. Would stay again.
We had a fabulous stay at the king’s Arms Hotel. Best food provided and excellent breakfast included. All staff and management were friendly, pleasant and very helpful. Had good on-site parking and lovely outside seating and gardens.
Pub closing for refurbishment and the management and staff are leaving as the pub want to bring in new management and staff. Will loose the high standards provided by them all.
This was a nice old pub in a quiet pretty town. We had a problem parking initially. We weren't sure how to get to the car park as there were road closures due to roadworks. The bar staff gave us directions - the roads were super narrow but we had free parking in a car park at the end of it. We had a clean comfortable room over the outdoor beer garden area. It was quiet though after 10pm. We had tea and coffee in our room with a kettle. The pub was very nicely set up for dinner although we were going out with friends and did not eat there. Breakfast had a lot of options. I asked if they had fresh fruit and the lady brought a plate with an apple, a pear and 4 huge strawberries on it. We had plenty to eat and drink. We would stay here again.
Myself and two friends had an overnight stay as we were playing golf the following morning at Princes Golf Club. The staff were very welcoming and I had a very comfortable double room. Breakfast was excellent. Overall very happy with my stay
Absolutely loved our stay in the twin room. The room was comfortable, the bed was great, breakfast fabulous. Location fabulous.staff lovely. Only slight thing was windows rattled a bit but it was extremely windy and it's a charming centuries old building and didn't stop me from sleeping. Will definitely be back!!! Thank you Kings Arms!
We had a very pleasant overnight stay at the King's Arms. The room was warm, comfortable and clean. For the price we might have hoped for slightly better en suite facilities. The bathroom was extremely small, the door would not close properly, and to reach the extractor fan pull-cord you would need to be 8 foot tall. However, everything else about the room was fine, and the hotel's location next to the river and in town could not have been better.
It is a lovely hotel with so much history. It actually felt like home away from home. There was a lovely atmosphere around the whole place. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely stay here again if I find myself in the area again.
The pub and the owners are really lovely. I would definitely say here to stay in sandwich, it’s a really lovely area. But one thing, don’t choose the small one bed room, it’s tiny compared to the other rooms.
A beautiful old pub within easy walking distance to the town centre.
Very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. A special thanks to Kirsty and Richard who went above and beyond ! Would definitely recommend and return.
The room served its purpose perfectly. Just wanted somewhere to rest my head for a night without breaking the bank. Check in wasn't overly clear as to where I needed to go so loitered at the bar until someone was free (they were very busy so the wait was justified). Was taken up to the room by one of the staff. The room was clean, there was tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. Bed was reasonably comfortable, did get woken up by the staff opening up for breakfast but this was due to my window being open due to a particularly hot night. Breakfast was fine as well, nice little selection available.
Lovely pub, hotel, traditional, very friendly staff who went out of their way to help us with our lge dog.
Would definitely go back and I would highly recommend it.
The single room is very small, but it does have a lovely clean en suite, and free coffee. The building itself is one of the most beautiful historical buildings in Kent, and in the summer the back garden is perfect with loads of benches and small tables. Just a really lovely place to stay.
