The staff at this small hotel were excellent and so friendly. The rooms are reasonable size, but a little tight to lay suitcases out. The en-suites are a good size & in reasonable condition and well cleaned. The food was tasty and well serviced.

The room was excellent although not cleaned during our stay. The breakfast was excellent. The bar was good. BUT the evening meal was chaotic. Some of the menu was unavailable. I am not sure what were the problems but there didn’t seem to be the flexibility to provide an available menu for the residents.

Old property but really well updated. Almost empty for my stay at very start of season so my single room on 2nd floor was quiet. Room clean and comfortable. New ensuite with walk in shower 10/10. Breakfast continental or pay extra for cooked. Parking easy ( you really need a car) and Scalloway very well placed for touring. Hotel closed for food in evening whilst I was there and not much else locally but really enjoyed my stay and would definitely use again.

We had a the Signature room in Scalloway Hotel which was a lovely big room with a view overlooking the sea. The room was clean and very well appointed. The reason I only gave 4 stars rather than 5 was because there was shower gel ( attached to the wall) in the shower but that was all. There were no other toiletries at all. We appeared to be expected to go into the shower to wash our hands. I expect a hotel to at least provide hand soap. The staff were very helpful when I asked for some but I shouldn’t have to ask. Also nowadays most hotels provide a bottle of water, even if only filled from the tap. Finally I had to hunt around for the loo paper which was in the cupboard under the sink. None on the holder. However we had a very nice dinner, everyone was very friendly and helpful and it was good value. So I would come again and hope the little annoyances have been rectified.

Loves our stay, staff were friendly and helpful. Bed/room comfortable, bathroom clean. Dining was excellent, good breakfast and dinners. Would highly recommend and stay there again Thankyou.
