This is quite the outdated Hotel. They probably have a total of 15 rooms or so. There is no reception. Everything is self checkin via phone if you will. On the first floor is the common area. There is a TV to share and an office PC and a couch to sit or play games. Part of it looked like its used for storage. The worn out staircase to the upper floors and rooms is tricky. If you have a heavy suitcase be aware. The double doors use a real key, that you get from a lock box. The room looks like from the 60th. Even so there was a 2nd room with a couch and table, it feld tiny and cramped. There was no TV, but they had free wifi. The Bathroom was outdated, tiny and dark. The yellow color of the tiles, the dim lighting and a shower curtain makes for an interesting shower experience. Breakfast buffet wasn't bad. What annoyed me was the server being on the phone with a personal friend loudly talking about their personal life and health.

Das Bett war nicht gut: die Matrazen viel zu qweich und durchgelegen, das leintuch aus Polyester, sodass man bei der heißen Jahreszeit noch mehr schwitzte. Außerdem habe ich mich über den zu hohen Preis dafür geärgert. Im Internet stand damals 76.- Euro, bezahlen mußte ich aber über 90.- Euro - das ist icht in Ordnung. ich habe gestern in einem Hotel in Wertheim nur 75.- Euro für ein Zimmer bezahlt, das in allem um Klassen besser war als das in Schlangenbad.

Schmucke Zimmer im Ambiente der Belle Epoque

Mal wieder ein sehr schöner, individueller Aufenthalt im Hotel Victoria mit seinen schmucken Zimmern und dem Ambiente der Belle Epoque. Das Frühstück war vielseitig und sehr lecker, v.a. der Kaffee und der Original-Serano-Schinken :-). Sehr schön auch die sehr aufmerksame, interessierte und austauschreiche Betreuung durch den Inhaber! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Charming older hotel in a good location. When it came to paying the bill, the proprietor was surprised that I had already paid my bill in advance through Orbitz! Luckily, I had printed out my receipt at home. What would have happened had I not done so? Obviously, there is a missing link between Orbitz and the hotel! That could have been potentially very awkward!

Good hotel for a stay in the area. Nice and recently renovated hotel. Romantic. Unfortunately the access to the village starts with a speed camera 30km.... maybe warn customers for this unpleasant access.

Bei einer Motorradtour in Lahntal und Wispertal suchte ich nach einer preiswerten Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in der relativ touristischen Gegend. Das Hotel Victoria in Schlangenbad ist ein sehr individuelles, inhabergeführtes Hotel mit schön eingerichteten altmodischen Zimmern, einem gemütlichen Restaurant, sehr aufmerksamem und freundlichem Personal. Das auf Anfrage zubereitete Essen (Schnitzel mit Champignons und Bratkartoffeln, ein frischer Salat) und der angebotene Riesling waren sehr lecker. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder.

Nostalgiesches Hotel im 18. Jahrhundert

Wir haben das Hotel kurzfristig gebucht und haben erst mal einen Schreck bekommen . War nicht so unser Stiel Aber wir haben Sehr gut geschlafen und Gut gefrühstückt. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und gepflegt und das Personal war auch sehr nett. War Lustig.

A perfect retreat

A wonderful treasure! Olaf could not do enough for you, he was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with warm crusty bread rolls and lovely meats and cheeses. The location was perfect, overlooking wonderful parkland and mountain views - and so quiet! I would recommend this hotel anytime and we will return!
