“We had a wonderful stay at Spindle Cottage in Bielby. It’s a lovely, traditional cottage full of character, set in a peaceful rural location that’s perfect for switching off and relaxing. Despite the quiet setting, it’s only a short drive to nearby supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, which made it really convenient. The hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. A great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable countryside stay……

“Overall, we had an okay stay, but I feel the property was overpriced for what it offered. The location was convenient, around a 30-minute walk or 25-minute bus journey into York city centre. Having on-site parking was a real bonus, as was the nearby supermarket. We also appreciated the baby gate on the stairs, and our children loved sleeping in the bunk beds. However, there were several issues that affected our stay. The property is advertised as a two-bedroom apartment, but in reality it has……

“Great location for going into town. Parking around the corner …no A/c as looked like it just opened. Overall very good place to stay when in York! One piece of advice fans for their guests.”

“Excellent location, only a short walk to The Shambles, York Dungeons, York Minster and more. Great pubs and restaurants close by. Lovely views of the river from the spacious living room and kitchen. Large bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room with another large bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Well equipped kitchen. Loads of storage. Everything you could want really. We loved it and plan to book again. 100% recommended.”
