The cabin was spacious. We had 9 adults in our group and had plenty of room. The view from the front deck was incredible. We enjoyed the hot tub very relaxing. Great location.
The property is in a beautiful setting. Far enough off the main road in Pigeon Forge, but close enough that you don't drive forever to get to a grocery store or the attractions (about a 10-15 minute ride). The home is in need of a little TLC. We really enjoyed the hot tub at night. The yard was nice for the dogs.
For our first trip to TN, this property was absolutely amazing. I can say we faced our fears driving up and down the mountain and driveway. The house was tucked away on the top of a mountain, beautifully kept inside, more than enough room and amenities for my grandmother (90), teenager (16), adults (29-40) and young children (<1 & 4). Patty was awesome with the check-in process and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was well stocked and furnished. We will definitely be back soon!
The property has a spectacular view of the meadows below and the mountains beyond. It is conveniently located, 5 miles from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, yet well away from the crowd. The location also offers easy access to the less used entrances to the National Park as Wear Valley and Townsend.
It is getting a bit of wear and tear and needs some touch ups and minor fixes. For example, the face frame on the kitchen Island cabinets was detached and two of the drawers inoperable when we arrived. We reported that as soon as we arrived, but the promised repairs never happened. There were a number of dings and marks on the paint, woodwork, and floors. A good going through by a handyman would be a great idea for the owners to take care of the minor annoyances.
Be ready to buy your own paper products, toiletries, and cleaning supplies as those provided won't last for your entire stay. Also, cell phone access is spotty. The Wifi service in the house is also by cellular modem, and is limited.
All said though, it was a good place for our family vacation.
We love A Walk in the Clouds. The porch and views were amazing! A spacious house and fully equipped kitchen. Close enough to town without being in a close quarters neighborhood. Loved the seclusion. We had 13 turkeys in the front property every morning and evening. The driveway is steeper than expected but we didn't have any trouble. Bring you own blankets - the ones provided are very scratchy. We will definitely return to this property!
A Walk in the Clouds really is the perfect name for this cabin. Our family of 10 + our 2 dogs stayed 4 nights and 5 days and I even have pictures of the dogs smiling! There isn’t one single thing that could have been better…honestly. We had enough of everything and more. We arrived home yesterday and feel like we left our real home..Walk in the Clouds! The office was so friendly to help us with any questions we had, easy code to get in (no keys to lose!) comfortable beds, fireplace, hot tub, easy to let the dogs in and out of their gated deck and fenced yard, and the view..the amazing view that we will never forget. We were close to everything we wanted to do and secluded in our own world with so much land around us…loved waking up watching the cattle grazing. We truly felt like we were all dreaming, it was the most perfect vacation ever. So blessed to have found this beautiful cabin allowing us the wonderful experience of having our 7 children under one roof again- hearing their laughter- our hearts were full.
Amazing view only 15 mins away from everything Pigeon Forge has to offer!
All though the driveway is paved, it does have a 12 to 15 degree embankment so a little juice is needed to comfortably make it to the top. You are first greeted by the well manicured lawn and beautiful country setting. A top of the hill sits the best view you could ask for! From the front porch you have an uninterrupted view of the rolling mountains. Perfect for early morning sunrises with a hot cup of joe. We had 4 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 kids and our 2 fur babies with us. We all fit with no issues at all. I was highly impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin as well as the small fenced in side area for the doggies to roam without worrying for their safety which can be accessed through a gate from the front porch or rear of the cabin. The living room and Dinning room, with its abundant windows and stained glass windows, allow for plenty of sunlight inside and allows for you to continue enjoying the amazing views. The hot tub was clean, warm and pretty new which was a nice feature. Also the bathrooms have ceiling heaters and the downstairs masters has a double headed shower! Be prepared to have spotty cell service and limited WiFi, but it’s nice to unplug and get away from all of that. The customer service from start to finish was amazing! Robert and Patty are top notch! highly recommend staying here! My family and I have already begun planning for our next stay here.
