Listing photos do not accurately reflect the current condition of home. The exterior was weathered, with grass growing from the gutters, weeds in the landscaping, and a badly damaged garage door. We were unable to use the garage, which made parking difficult since street parking is not allowed. Inside, there was a noticeable stale pet odor despite home being listed as pet-free. We also found water on kitchen floor from the freezer, and the hardwood beneath it was badly warped from what appeared to be a long-term leak. Bear Creek Cabins responded quickly, sending a repair person within 15 minutes, which we appreciated. The home shows significant wear: missing blind slats, a broken towel rack, mold in the master tub jets, a stained bath mat, food debris on the kitchen floor and in the dishwasher, and even a piece of bread on a window blind. The game room also needs attention, with broken or incomplete games, damaged pool table pockets, and a non-working basketball game. The beds were comfortable, the TVs, washer/dryer, and hot tub all worked well, and the community pool was clean with beautiful mountain views. We’ve rented vacation homes for 25 years. While we enjoyed our family vacation, this home did not match the listing. Updating photos and adjusting the price to reflect the property’s current condition would set more realistic expectations. Bear Creek Cabins was responsive and offered to send a cleaning crew, which we declined so we could enjoy the rest of our vacation.
