Conveniently located halfway between the Seward small boat harbor and Seward´s historic downtown. Both are within a short walking distance along a coastal trail that is just one block from the front door. The trail is part of the original Iditarod Trail. Very clean and private with 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, wifi, DirectTV/DVD, Washer and Dryer. Adjacent to our other vacation rental unit (VRBO Listing #971600). This is great for someone who is wanting to have a rental for 8 to 10 people, as the two units are side by side. Owned and operated by a 4´th generation Seward, Alaskan.

This was a very functional house. We enjoyed the two bedrooms, real toilet, hot water, and especially the washer and dryer! The house itself was sparsely decorated and there was no outside space in which to enjoy the surroundings. The kitchen was somewhat dirty with broken blinds and the stove had something in it that smoked when we tried to bake. Overall though it is an easy walk to both parts of town, all the tours, and the waterfront. The neighborhood is quiet and parking is easy.

The home was easy to find and walkable to downtown. The beds were comfy. We only stayed one night and did not spend much time in the house so I cannot speak to the functioning of the appliances. The inside was nothing amazing but was fine for one night.

The place gave a much different vibe than the photos. Immediately upon arriving it felt like a mobile home from the outside. Inside felt like a former long-term rental that wasn’t taken care of/damage but they slapped some touch up paint on and converted to VRBO. Queen bedroom is SMALL. Neighbor dogs barked most of the time. Other than that, host was responsive and it was pretty clean. Expect microfiber sheets (if you have a sensitivity).

Short walk to town

Good location
The unit was in a good location. The bedrooms had a musty smell—possibly from the carpet—but fortunately, it was warm enough to leave the windows open for ventilation.There isn’t seating for more than two people to eat, which, in retrospect, is clear from the photos.Overall, it was a fine place to sleep and have breakfast for a couple of nights. We spent most of our time out doing activities.Communication with the host was excellent.
