“Truly, a five star experience that went above and beyond expectations because of Ranger John! He is an expert level two ranger; has deep knowledge of the nature and history of the land is completely unparalleled! There are many times where he was able to see animals that no one else could see because of his 40 years of experience in the bush. On one of the game drives, he smelled a carcass, and we went to explore the carcass and subsequently which led us to who hidden lions that were finished……

“Exceptionally friendly staff and knowledge safari guides. Truly special location as the only private concession in Addo Elephant Park. Stunning views from room and lodge with elephants, zebras and more constantly walking in front of or even through the property.”

“Eine Location mit sehr viel Charme, tollem Ranger Clifford, freundlichsten Personal, auch wenn die Eintichtungen etwas „in die Jahre“ gekommen sind. Für die Anfahrt über die letzten 14 km unbefestigte Straße sind sicher 30 min Autofahrt einzuplanen. Diese Straße muss man auch zurück, wenn der Nationalpark besucht wird.”

“A really lovely and relaxing place to spend a few days whilst visiting the game reserves.
Very attentive staff, a large and comfy bedroom
A lookout deck, pool, hammock and outdoor seating area are all lovely, and would be fabulous in warmer weather.
Three course dinner (set menu) was delicious and all home-prepared on site. The dining room is also very nice, and we were seated right by the fire - very welcome in August.
The shower did go cold on us twice, but I think in winter it's harder……
