“They’re under a remodel so that was not counted against them. The pool was amazing for the kids and so was Moxies! We unfortunately were not in a recently renovated room but our friends were and it looked great! Ours was not bad though. Breakfast was good for us and it’s free so not sure why people gripe. Our frustration falls with the owners and their lack of communication and the lack of description in the rooms. We booked a deluxe after calling the hotel since the description was non-existent……

“Room was large. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and felt like sleeping on a rock. One of the worst king size beds I have slept in this year. The bed is extremely far from the A/C unit and the fans in the bathroom don’t work creating a very humid environment right by the bed. Got absolutely no sleep and then went to open the blinds in front of the bedroom window when the entire metal cylinder for the roll curtain came and fell onto my head giving me a bruise and headache for 2 days. Not even……

“I was initially put next to a very loud talking woman, who I think was part of a road construction crew who was having an argument with a man, and the walls seemed paper thin. It was late and I needed to get up very early so I asked to be put in another room away from other guests and my request was honored. After finally moving all my things I got a good rest. The final room I got was cleaner and the bed was more comfortable, overall seemed much better than the first room. They seem to cluster……

“This is an excellent property with caring owners. The rooms are well-appointed, parking is a dream, there is a great park and the river nearby. Marty and Tiff run the property semi-remotely, which actually works very well! Very responsive to requests and attentive to their guests needs. Scones from the cafe in town were a nice addition. Be sure to ask for daily room cleaning if you want it, try the lounge—which has a very good whiskey collection—and just enjoy!”

“The staff was great but our check was not. I have a 6 foot 3 wheelchair man. Booked a wheelchair room but couldn’t get him in the bathroom it only had a bathtub. They changed rooms that accommodated us but the soap stuff was across from the wheelchair seat. We went to use the shower handle and it fell off the wall. It was not fixed for our stay. We booked 2 rooms the other room had other guests staying in it already. We checked in at 4pm had to go to a wedding rehearsal at 5. We had hoped to……

“This place was fabulous! Rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly. Was wonderful having a great restaurant right on the premises. Would definitely stay again‼️”

“Overall the property was clean however the room had an odor. Free breakfast was the standard with waffles available. Had to request staff to refill items that were out. Staff did so with kindness and respect.”
