The location of this particular hotel is perfect. The gentleman who owns it has been extremely helpful and very nice. There was a few problems to begin with, but he fixed everything. The room is nice and big. It is very noisy however so keep that in mind.

Avoid if you can

The rooms were very difficult to find (took over 2.5 hours to find) - the pin on the map is in the wrong part of Skiathos town; the Skiathos tourist office could not help locate the rooms; locals identified a possible location from the website photos, but these photos were not from any of the rooms - beware there are no sea views; even the Hotels.com helpdesk provided a wrong pin when we reached out to them for help; NOTE there is no way to contact the owner (neither by phone nor by e-mail). When we eventually arrived at Nostalgia (a few locals beat the jungle drums and the owner came to meet us) we found the room had the bare minimum amenities. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, sheets and towels were provided, and the air conditioning worked really well.

We were looking for an inexpensive overnight stay to catch an early flight. We didn’t expect much because of the price. It met our needs as a place to sleep but wouldn’t suggest it for a longer stay. No sea view as the photo suggests.

The first 3 days I had no air conditioning. I moved to another room then for the last 3 days I had NO WIFY. I had stayed there a total of 8 days. As you can see I had 2 good days out of the 8. I will never stay there again. I kept asking for the wify and Nick (owner) kept saying he would check it. It did not work. The noise level was off the charts LOUD!!!

Cure little flat! Close to the port and walking distance to almost everything in Skiathos town. Was a bit surprised to see the shower is an open shower in the bathroom, but it had hot water and good pressure!

This place is good for sleeping not staying.

The area has a lot of restaurants. One room has a non working aircon. We have to open the door to let the cool air in. Bathroom is too cramped. No shower holder. The staff is really good. He picked us from the old port. He ordered taxi for us at 8:30 am.

Cannot recommend Hotel.com

My review is of Hotel.com - not so much Nostalgia. First of all the map showing the location was totally misleading. There was no adress except Skiathos..... The telephone number given in the booking confirmation was not helpful - no answer. I searched Hotel.com to find customer support, but the numbers I found for Greece and Norway (my home country), were out of service! I finally found the place by asking lots of people in town. I just wanted a bed in a decently clean room, and Nostalgia matched that. I was not prepared for the noise, though. Both at late evening and early morning, there was lots of noise from the tavernas and street life.

We booked with this property and were a little hesitant given some of the negative reviews. Prior to our arrival, we were asked by the property to reach out to arrange check-in. I reached out several times through the Expedia app but received no response. There is no other way to contact them so I searched online and although I didn’t find a contact number, I found other very negative reviews. People being talked to a different hotel or the room being completely a mess. At this point, I decided to reach out to Expedia with hopes of cancelling the reservation. They also did not hear back. So at risk of potentially ruining our vacation, we booked with another hotel. The lack of communication is disconcerting and unprofessional.

Ho visto ostelli più puliti. Come posizione piuttosto buona ma di buono c’è solo quello. Abbiamo trovato la stanza sporca, in bagno c’erano capelli, superfici appiccicose e pavimento non spazzato.

La struttura non esiste è solo una truffa, su internet Google segna un indirizzo errato e i locali provano a indirizzare a una vecchia allocazione ma inesistente. Ho perso un'intera giornata e serata alla disperata ricerca di un alloggio non presente e chiedendo aiuto alle persone cortesi e gentili del luogo mi hanno potuta infine "sistemare" verso mezzanotte in una camera svegliando una signora presso un alloggio differente da quello prenotato! Il proprietario dell'hotel inesistente ha sostenuto fosse impossibile il rimborso in quanto la cifra valeva per la prenotazione. Esperienza terrificante, mai pensato tanto per una sistemazione tra l'altro cara in quanto ho pagato 100€ per un servizio completamente mancato e inesistente! È una gravissima truffa e l'accoglienza turistica non dovrebbe permettere certe situazioni di comodo che fanno restare persone in viaggio senza possibilità di riposare, appoggiare i bagagli, poter ricaricare i device tecnologici. Vagare senza meta è davvero spiacevole. La persona proprietaria si deve vergognare e ritirare se deve causare tali disservizi rovinando la nomea della città e dell'isola. Terrificante lasciarsi rovinare la vacanza da una completa e totale assenza di risposte riguardo una prenotazione già pagata! Assolutamente inaccettabile ed il tutto è un grave reato

La nostra esperienza in questo “alloggio” è stata terribile. In due famiglie siamo finiti qui per emergenza la notte di Ferragosto: erano le uniche stanze disponibili vicino al porto. A noi è toccata una camera in uno stabile a circa 1 km dal Nostalgia Hotel: per raggiungerla abbiamo dovuto percorrere 500 metri in salita, con scale ripide, e poi affrontare una rampa interna strettissima, impossibile da gestire con i bagagli. La stanza era indecente: letti vecchi e materassi neri, scaldabagno con fili elettrici scoperti, fornetti arrugginiti, lavandino rovinato e un bagno putrido che puzzava di fogna. L’altra famiglia, nell’edificio principale dell’hotel, si è trovata in condizioni se possibile ancora peggiori. Alla fine abbiamo usato le stanze solo come deposito bagagli, restando gran parte della notte in strada, dopo aver pagato in anticipo e a caro prezzo (110 € la tripla, 150 € la quadrupla). Le nostre lamentele con il proprietario, un signore anziano che non comprendeva bene, sono state inutili. La vera responsabilità però è di Expedia, che propone strutture del genere come se fossero affidabili. Una piattaforma di prenotazione dovrebbe garantire standard minimi di sicurezza e igiene, invece permette la vendita di alloggi fatiscenti e ingannevoli, lasciando i clienti senza tutela. Per questo il mio giudizio negativo non è solo verso la struttura, ma soprattutto verso Expedia, che si dimostra del tutto inaffidabile.
