“Owner never showed up to let me check in called several times no answer took VRBO an hour to get ahold of owner. Owner canceled my stay several hours after check in. Left me strained and looking for a place to stay. VRBO was unhelpful at helping look or to offer to pay for place for me to stay for a night or two.”

“Had a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend, property is very peaceful with something for everyone. So happy they allowed dogs, as ours have a great time playing in the lake as well as having the freedom to run around with the property being fully fenced in. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to relax.”

“This property is very nice & clean. It is comfortable and in a beautiful setting. The deck is a great place to sit & enjoy the sunrise. The only negative is they don’t want you to flush anything other than natural waste, not even toilet tissue, due to rural septic system.”

“I will probably NEVER use VRBO again ... when I tried to check in to get instructions for address and check in. I tried 18 yes EIGHTEEN of the codes you sent to my email to VERIFY me .. and 18 yes EIGHTEEN times it said INVALID CODE!!!!!!! Only my God helped me... I contacted a friend who lives near by to help me find who owned and how to get in. OTHERWISE i would have sent my payment and had NO idea where to go or how to get in. Your "service" was AWFUL!! I will use any other before I try VRBO……

“Rented this house with a group of friends and their young kids and all of us loved this home. It was very secluded and we didnt see a single person out there, which we loved. There are 2 small hills going down to the water so it was a little bit of a work out going back and forth from the water to the house. The house also doesnt have a pier. Overall, this house was great, had everything one would need, check in and check out was super easy, and the host was very friendly and answered any……

“If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay right by the lake with private pool this is the house for you any questions the homeowner will address quickly and in the friendliest way but honestly this house has everything you and your family will need from comfy beds and couches to plenty of outdoor seating to watch the kids enjoy the pool plenty of property to roam around deer we’re walking right outside the backyard huge fenced in yard really was an excellent experience can’t wait to stay……

“Found this property while searching for a smaller town on the centerline of the annular eclipse and booked in February. From the beginning, Robin reached out and already gave us a great feeling about our stay. Days before our arrival, Robin reached out again to find out when we were coming and to provide directions. Day of our arrival, air in home was turned on, code to door provided, and everything we would need prepared. When we walked in, we were so impressed. The property was so much more……

The location was perfect and was so peaceful and quiet. The lake was right there. The stars at night were so vivid. We felt as the hosts were more neighbors, actually wound up feeling as though they were family. They made our stay amazing. We plan on going back to "Our Little Piece of Heaven" and stay longer.”

“This property is perfect for working crews in the Refugio area. We were able to park our equipment on site and felt comfortable with it there. The owners were extremely flexible with our group and our trip days. We really enjoyed the outdoor setting with the outside cooking options since everyone felt relaxed outside after work. The bunk houses for extra accommodations worked well for our time there. We definitely recommend staying here.”
