"Room we stayed in was old. Bathroom awkward and cramped. Beds decently comfortable. Breakfast was good, had dinner one night at the restaurant which was also good. Staff very kind and friendly."

"Absolutely fabulous accommodations! We wish we had stayed there longer! Beautiful view and extremely well maintained. The hot spring tub and cold plunge were a great spot. Make sure to get a cocktail at happy hour and take it for a soak!!"

"A wonderful stay at the Fransiskus Hotel. With This review, I would like to give a VERY BIG THANK YOU to Patrick - he was in charge of the front desk during my stay. I cannot say enough good things about how well he treated me. Polite, professional, and friendly. He also gave excellent recommendations for dining and even exploring the Snæfellsnes peninsula. I hope that ownership and management recognize his efforts. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The location is within walking distance to the main dining spots, the ferry terminal, and the local sights. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those looking to stopover in Stykkishólmur. P.S. - the chapel in the hotel can be a place of calm solitude for travelers looking to rest their minds."
