A car is recommended for exploring the area, as public transportation is limited. We’re about 10 minutes from downtown Sonora and Highway 108, providing easy access to nearby attractions. Taxis and rideshares like Uber and Lyft are available but may have longer wait times in rural areas. Parking is plentiful on-site, with space for multiple vehicles and RVs (hookups available for a fee).
We love welcoming guests—and their friendly dogs—to Buckeye Basecamp! Our property is a paradise for pups who enjoy exploring, but please keep them under voice control and always clean up after them. We want to keep the grounds enjoyable for all our guests (human and furry). Dogs are welcome indoors, but we ask that you keep them off beds and furniture unless using your own protective covers.
The property includes a year-round creek, natural rock formations, and uneven terrain—beautiful to explore, but please keep a close eye on children and pets near these areas.
Due to fire danger, smoking is allowed only in the designated smoking area, where we’ve provided a fire-safe cigarette container for proper disposal—never on the ground. For everyone’s safety, no smoking while walking around the property.
We also offer RV parking with full hookups for an additional fee—just let us know if you’d like to bring one.
Nearby you’ll find Telele Golf Club, Black Oak and Chicken Ranch Casinos, Dodge Ridge for winter sports and summer biking, and the Tuolumne River’s class IV whitewater. We’re also close to lakes, hiking trails, and charming Gold Rush towns—plenty to keep every member of your group entertained!
