Wonderful Anniversary Getaway!

Great Views
We enjoyed our stay here. The views were great and the unit was well supplied-- it even had coffee filters-- which is something that is often missing with VRBO bookings.

Amazing Condo!!
This is our second time staying in this condo and we LOVE it. The bed in the master is so comfortable that before we left my husband was trying to find out what type of mattress it is. Another thing I love about this condo is the owners are not stingy on supplies and even have additional items that I have never had at other VRBOs. Ed is a great communicator. Honestly I can’t say enough good things about it! The only one thing that I would change is the shades in the 2nd bedroom aren’t fully blackout shades. My daughters are use to sleeping in pitch black. The windows in this room face the hallway to the common area of the apartment complex so the lights are on all night. Once again this is not a reason to not stay there just a heads up just in case another guest as light sensitive children. We placed black trash bags on the windows and it did the job!

Great getaway
We were just there for a couple nights, but had a great stay. The location really makes it special. The only issue we had was that the washer didn’t always drain, and it took forever for a load to wash. Overall, we’d definitely stay again.

Terra, Nice to hear you had a great stay! We checked with our housekeeper who did the laundry after you stay and she had no problems with the washer and we also checked with the guests staying this week (right after you) and they have run 2 loads in the washer with no issues. So not sure what happened during your stay but the washer is 100% working. regards, ed

Wonderful Stay
Everything clean, orderly. Kitchen fully stocked. Lots of codes to remember so I suggest putting them on a little card and keeping with you at all times. Beach just a short walk from the property and I was impressed by how clean it was, and very safe. We truly enjoyed our stay at this condo and can't wait to visit again

Great property!
We enjoyed our stay. The condo had a beautiful view and because it is the last condo on that side of the beach (and Labor Day week), it wasn't crowded at all. The condo has almost everything you need... including beach chairs, a wagon (although we had our own), flashlights for walking on the beach at night or watching the crabs, as well as whatever you needed inside. The only thing we couldn't find was measuring spoons, so we just used regular spoons and estimated. We would definitely consider staying there again and recommend it to others.

Best location and extremely comfortable
We had a great time there. It’s a absolutely gorgeous apartment. Big bedrooms abs clean bathrooms. Very ample kitchen supply and smooth communications of any questions. All you need is close by. Online pictures don’t do the justice of this condo.

Best place on SPI!
Loved our stay & this condo was the best! We’ve stayed at numerous condos on SPI & own vacation rentals ourselves & this place was TOP NOTCH! -SUPER CLEAN -AMAZING VIEW -well stocked -quick responses from manager The pictures do not do it justice! The views are spectacular. The condo is super cozy. When we come back to SPI, we will not bother even looking at other places. Thanks for a great experience!

Best view - super clean - fully stocked!
The pictures online don't do it justice - it is MUCH better!! The view has to be the BEST on the island...the condo is VERY roomy and very comfy bed. Kitchen stocked to the max. Recommend this highly. And the last condo on the beach, so not many people on this section of beach. Loved everything about it!

The condo was beautiful, clean and had everything that we might need for an enjoyable stay. Everything seemed to be of the highest quality. The automatic blinds were great. The only thing that would be an improvement would be a shade for the door to the balcony.

A great getaway!
This property is a gem! The property is immaculate and fit our group of four very comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked and the linens are clean. The view is fantastic, the beach is easily the best in Texas (the pool is very nice, too) and there is a lot to do on the island. I had to log on to my computer a couple of times for work and had no problem accessing the internet. Thank you Ed and Kathy for sharing your home, you have a wonderful place and we’re already talking about heading back down next year!

Perfect location!
We had an excellent time at Sea Vista! The beach is just steps away and not crowded at all. The location is perfect for kids! The condo was very clean. The kitchen and pantry were both very well stocked making it super easy to cook meals at the condo. Beach chairs, umbrella and towels provided. No beach toys. Be prepared for mosquitos morning and evening. Owners very easy to communicate with. We absolutely loved this place and would certainly rebook a stay here!!! Highly recommend!

Best rental we’ve done through VRBO
We had a wonderful time on our first visit to South Padre Island, and most of the reason we did was because of this lovely Condo and it’s location. Easy access to the beach, not crowded, family friendly, clean, and have never stayed in a rental that was as well stocked as this. Thank you for sharing with us. If we’re ever down that way again, we will definitely try to rent this same condo!

I should keep this a secret
This is the best property, location, management team on the island. It is the last commercial property on the Gulf side at the south end of the island giving you a lot more beach to find a spot by yourself. Secure parking with two pools. The day we arrived there was a water main break but Ed and Cathy worked diligently to find us alternative arrangements for the evening and no beach time was lost. Our time in South Padre was social distancing done right! We intend to visit again and again. Thanks Ed and Cathy for all the support!

The condo is at the start of the Island,which we enjoyed; it was less congested, yet easy access in and out. Beachfront and balconey is perfect. Balconey is facing the beach; the rocking Adirondacks made it that much nicer to spend early morning and late nights relaxing. Condo is as described, large, clean, great for family.

Beautiful condo with amazing view
This was our first vrbo rental & first trip to South Padre. The condo was just as advertised with an amazing view of the gulf & spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed with plenty of space for our family (mom, dad, 2 teenage boys). The pantry even had spices, oil, vinegar, disposables & some canned goods. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Ed & Cathy! We’ll be back!

A breath of fresh air
Really enjoyed this unit. Beautiful view and less crowded beach area. It seems Ed has thought of just about everything. We went over prepared. Enjoyed that there were beach chairs in the unit for our use. The Adirondack chairs on the balcony were great for relaxing after a long day of sun and surf. Ed was great in responding to email during and before our visit, a great guy to work with. We will be back!

Be careful of Property Manager
Telephone reservation was difficult with the representative who was not helpful. It took 2 of us to finally complete the rigorous task. Unfortunately her English would not qualify for her second language. Then when we came in from the beach at the end of our first day, the property manager called us about an issue which caused me a lot of grief after I had cleared everything with the office manager at the front desk. unfortunately, the property manager decided to threaten me rather than call his on site office manager about his complaint. After he did at my request, he called to say everything was ok. We will never stay at this lovely condo again.. this guy claimed to be the advisor to the Board of directors. For the price we paid, I did not expect such shabby treatment by someone flexing his muscle. Our trip was not fun. Thx for nothing

Lawrence, We are sorry you had a bad experience and we apologize. In regards to making the reservation through VRBO/HomeAway and your assessment of the representative’s English speaking ability we can only say we are sorry….that has not been our or our guests experience over the 15 or so years we have been working with VRBO/HomeAway…guests love booking through their platform and our and our guests experiences with their process is 99.9% seamless and easy. Now…as you know from our phone call I contacted you by phone because I received an email from the General Manager of the Condo Complex alerting me that you had brought a dog into a Condo Complex where the Association rules do not allow pets and those rules are clearly stated in all of our listing details. So, unfortunately I needed to call you and follow up on it. In our phone call you said the dog was a “service animal”…I asked a few questions and I told you I would follow up on the situation and get right back to you. I made a few calls and discovered that there was a miscommunication between the front office person who checked you in where you mentioned the dog was a service animal and the General Manager of the property (who was offsite at the time). I also called the security person that was on duty at the time to make sure they were in the loop that your dog was a “service animal”…I did that as a proactive step for you in order to minimize any other questions you may have gotten from Condo Association personnel in regards to the dog. From the time of my first call to you to the second call in which I assured you everything was good and there were no issues was no more than 10 minutes…I am sorry I had to call you and I apologize for the miscommunication of your dog being a “service animal”. Had it not been for that 10 minutes we are certain that your review would have been just as positive and glowing as every other review we have ever received on condo as well as all of our other properties. Again…we apologize for the miscommunication. Regards, ed

Everything you need!
The condo was lovely and just as advertised and very easy to communicate with property owner. Everything you could possibly need for your stay was provided, including very nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella! You couldn’t get a closer and better beach location! My only disappointment was that the balcony was not large enough for us all to sit out at the same time and just a door instead of sliding glass doors like I am used to.
