When we got to the room, there were various items (trash) in various locations of the room. The paint was peeling or missing in areas - most notably the bathroom. The breakfast was always the same. Your choice of yogurt, Belgian waffles, cereal, bread, and muffins. There were never eggs or any other form of protein. All of the staff appeared to be from other countries. I saw one of the men, who brought us towels, come out of a room wearing regular clothes. He has been wearing a uniform type outfit before. Leasibg me to believe that he lived on the premises. They wait staff never smiled. One morning, I walked by one employee and wished him a good morning. He neither wished one back or even looked at me. We passed less than 3 feet of each other. The beds were hard. The pool was closed the entire time. Even though it was in the 80s and 90s each day we were there. If there's no place else to go, then go here. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

Affordable. No eggs/meat at breakfast bar as advertised on Best Western website. Room door needs to be replaced-air from outside shoots right into room, including smokers who exhale. Great room darkening & indoor curtains but need to keep closed whenever in room for any privacy. Pool very murky so we didn't swim & neither did anyone else! Beautiful king bed but too soft & it fell in between the mattress supports so no support. Excellent cleaning second day but no cleaning service on third day. No checkin/out instructions in room. Required to pre-pay entire stay at checkin. I'd actually return, but expect less.

This is an older property, but the owners and managers are doing a great job keeping it up and comfortable. The breakfast was not great, but the staff was very friendly. The location was very convenient for me. The bed was comfortable, and the room was reasonably quiet and safe.

My husband and I have stayed here for the last four years for Christmas and other holidays when visiting my brother and sister-in-law. I am not sure what has happened within the last year, but the facility has gone really down hill and it was very disappointing when we got into our room. The door looked like it had been kicked in repeatedly by someone and our security latch was broke. We didn’t even have one. The shower look like it hadn’t been cleaned and there was other hairs all over the shower all over the floor. The sheets were stained and the towels were stained. Their continental breakfast use to consist of Jimmy Dean sandwiches, bagels, boiled eggs and a variety of yogurt. This past weekend it was cereal, waffles and poppy seed muffins. So of course this was very disappointing from previous stays. Not to mention all the outside trash cans were overflowing and there was so much trash in the parking lots. It may be time to find a new hotel next trip.

First of all, the room they gave us had a chair with fabric and it was filthy! I called front desk and a property worker came and took it out. That should have been my que to just leave! But since I came with my 2 little kids and husband from California to visit in-laws, we just stayed! Well at 1:45am, I got bit up by bedbugs! We checked the beds prior but not see anything! My husband even checked! I called front desk at that time and they just moved us. They didn’t offer to come and help especially since I have a 9 year old and an almost 2 year old! They didn’t seem to care. How sad! I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! I would rather sleep in a sleeping bag on the sidewalk than go back to that trash hole.

No Way Stay
This hotel is a dump. Cockroach crawling up the wall when I entered. Refrigerator buzzing very loud continuously. Condition of walls and floor were filthy. Mold on the ceiling. It was so bad I would not stay there and sacrificed the cost of the first night to NOT stay there. Front desk claims it is the second best hotel in Southern Pines. Bold face lie. But if true, I would hate to see the 3rd best hotel. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY STAYING AT THIS HOTEL.

The person at chein really wasn't paying attention to billing instructions that I was reviewing and it was a turn off. Like dude just don't do what you want to do. And because I made a mistake and booked a handicap room he decided to keep me there instead of changing it incase he needed the rook for someone else as per his words.

Era nuestro 5to año seguido alojando en este hotel, lamentablemente esta vez solo dormimos una noche y tuvimos que cambiarnos ya que las habitaciones que nos dieron, la primera estaba sucia (hasta habían un par de zapatillas de levantarse que alguien olvidó), pedimos cambio y la segunda olía mal, el baño estaba sucio y hediondo. La manager de limpieza al parecer tomó nuestras quejas como algo personal y nos mandó a decir que si no nos gustaba nos podíamos cambiar de hotel. Eso hicimos, por una diferencia menor nos fuimos al Confort Inn donde fue mucho más agradable nuestra estadía.
