  • Spring Hill was the prelude to the Battle of Franklin. On the night of Nov 28, 1864, Gen. John Bell Hood’s Army of Tennessee marched toward Spring Hill to get astride Maj. Gen. John M. Schofield’s Union army’s life line. Cavalry skirmishing between Brig. Gen. James H. Wilson’s Union cavalry and Maj. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest’s Confederate troopers continued throughout the day as the Confederates advanced. On Nov 29, Hood’s infantry crossed Duck River and converged on Spring Hill. In the meantime, Maj. Gen. Schofield reinforced the troops holding the crossroads at Spring Hill. In late afternoon, the Federals repulsed a piecemeal Confederate infantry attack. During the night, the rest of Schofield’s command passed from Columbia through Spring Hill to Franklin. This was, perhaps, Hood’s best chance to isolate and defeat the Union army. The engagement has been described as “one of the most controversial non-fighting events of the entire war."

Cute and comfy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It was a perfect location for where we wanted to be, was easy to get to, and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Everything was set up nicely, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, and sitting out on the back deck was very enjoyable. We would highly recommend staying here and know that we will again next time we come.

Girlfriends Weekend

We live out of state and were in town for a surprise birthday. This house was close to restaurants, shopping and easy to get to the interstate yet in a quite neighborhood. We would rent this house again.

Quick getaway weekend

Overall, it was a good stay. Owner was very good at communicating. I didn’t catch though that all the bedrooms were upstairs till I got there lol which was OK. Also, I think somebody must have smoked in the house on the previous stay. I think this was a non-smoking property so I guess somebody didn’t pay attention or something anyway it was a good property.

Amazing home, quiet neighborhood but close to town

This is one of the top places I’ve stayed, almost perfect. It is clean, well maintained, commutation is exceptional, closest to description I’ve ever seen and close to town if you need/ forgot anything. The neighborhood is quiet and a couple dead ends on roads near the home so no through traffic, it sits at the end. Only thing I would suggest so their is an option ate black out curtains for people who need dark to sleep or need extra sleep but the light is too bright and for when it storming to block it out. There are shades which is good this would just make it a little more top notch in my opinion. Thank you for the stay, it was wonderful, would most definitely stay again.

Perfect Location and Quiet Neighborhood

We were in the home for 3 weeks during a stay in Spring HIll for our toddler to receive therapy at CLIMB Pediatric Intensive Therapy. The location was just perfect. The house is less than a half-mile from Main Street, but nestled at the back of a dead-end street in a quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean and fully stocked, which most are not. There is a large backyard and easy parking out front. We would definitely stay here again and thank the owner for the listing!

Super Spring Hill location w/ walking track

Simple surroundings on a quiet cul-de-sac that slept 4 comfortably (pull out sofa not so comfy). Kitchen basics with ample work space. Large backyard and access to local walking track around the corner were wonderful to use. Super Spring Hill location that’s situated around the corner from a Super Target, Home Gooda, Dollar Tree and readily available restaurants. Property Mgmt promptly responds professionally.

Smelled of smoke or mold

Very clean place but the smell inside the house was unbearable and I could not breathe. The house keeper and the neighbor said that there has always been a smell in there. They should mention that on their advertising. Had to leave early due to the smell
