Perfect for what we needed
The home was perfectly suited for 7 people. Never felt overcrowded. We lived the pool - perfect after being in the sun and salty water all day. This property was VERY clean, which was very appreciated. Overall we plan to come back next year for another beach and fishing trip, and hope this property is available to rent when we do!

Great home close to the beach
The house was ready prior to our 4pm check-in. We had (7) people and (2) dogs, we did not feel overcrowded with more than enough room for additional guests. The house was spacious with a nice layout. Fully fenced in yard and pool deck, was great for our dogs as we had no fear of them getting out. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We had (1) issue with the upstairs shower not working. Owners came out within the hour and repaired it the following morning once stores were open, excellent response and service. Owners checked in with us to ensure all was well and did everything they could to provide a comfortable experience. I would gladly stay again and recommend this listing to anyone with a family and dogs.

Great Location & Pool in Butler Beach
Our family had a great stay. House had plenty of space. Both kids and adults loved the pool. Centrally located in Butler beach and just a few minutes walk to the beach for sunrise or bay for sunset. Will definitely look to book when we are back in the area.

Last minute getaway
We stayed at this property we chose at the last minute with some out of town guest. Stayed only for 2 nights. It was very close to a beautiful beach with free parking and lots of nearby shopping and restaurants. Very clean great amenities. Will definitely come back.

Our stay in the blue dolphin verbo house at butler beach.
We had a great time. The pool was a hit with our adult children and thier spouses. Our granddaughter enjoyed the pool also. The beach was fantastic. We went to a few restaurants 2 were hits other one not so great. We each went separate ways sight seeing.But the over all experience was fabulous. Look for a return stay with you again

Beyond Our Dreams!
We had everything we needed to have a great vacation celebrating the graduation of our daughter from high school—many lizards for our 12 year old to enjoy outside, many great beaches to visit, many fun activities to experience (airboat ride, alligator park, etc.), and a beautiful, spacious and clean house with a pool to enjoy! Thank you for making this a great experience for our family! I would recommend this area and this rental to everyone!

Great Vacation Stay!
We had a wonderful time at the Blue Dolphin house retreat! The house was very spacious, clean, and well- maintained. The owners were very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had. We had all the kitchen appliances and utensils we needed. The house is very close to the beach and the kids loved swimming in the heated pool. We would recommend this house to any further visitors! Beautiful home with tasteful beach house decor. The house was clean and stocked with basic necessities (i.e., hand soap, shampoo) that were much appreciated. The pool was heated and in excellent condition (and there was a safety gate for children from the house to the pool). The owners were pleasant to communicate with. Loved that the beach was only a 10 minute walk away and the house was in a quiet neighborhood. Great family memories were made here! Highly recommend this house for your next vacation!

Good stay
This property is close to a lovely beach, restaurants, grocery stores. It is a very easy drive to downtown St. Augustine. We felt like we could get to all of our activities very easily. The house had plenty of room for all of us and had a better stocked kitchen then most rentals I have stayed in. The management responded quickly with any questions I had and sent polite reminders for trash day and check out day. I would say everything went smoothly and I would 100% stay here again.

St Augustine House
Very nice house with lots of room convenient to downtown and local restaurants. After the pool heated up it was very nice. The washer and dryer was a very nice touch especially for extended stays. I would highly recommend this property especially for 10 people or more.

Great stay, very cozy
We loved this house and its comfort. It was very spacious and fit plenty of people. The pool was nice. Just be aware the neighborhood is very very calm so this is not the place for rowdiness or parties, even just with the family. Definitely more of a relaxed experience and I really like the things that the house already provided. Also pet friendly which was great for our two pups!!

Definition of tranquility
Me and my family set out looking for somewhere to vacation where we could relax or possibly find something local to partake in nearby. We found everything in one spot. A few minutes from the beach, grocery stores and restaurants, local plazas and entertainment all right around the corner! The beautiful home was exactly as pictured and described. Very clean and located in a peaceful and welcoming community. It felt like home away from home. If any of that is what is being sought then this is your destination. Easy self check-in. Communicating with the owners was not a problem at all. He answered all my questions and checked to make sure we had everything we needed while there. We will be back for sure. Thank you again Mr David!

The property is much nicer than the pictures make it look. The property owner is very nice and helpful. The dishwasher broke while we were there and they installed a new one within two days. Quiet neighborhood.

Property perfect for 10 people however very dirty, pool filthy and no amenities for beach chairs/coolers. If you are flying you will have to purchase chairs and coolers and any sun shade you may need. Will not rebook.

Our home is maintained by Florida Pest Control. They do preventative quarterly treatments plus any on-demand treatments. The day after arrival these guests mentioned bugs to us and we contacted pest control immediately. Pest control went to the house and reported that there were some outdoor bugs that came into the home during the afternoon downpours that we received. The home was treated and pest control told the guests to not leave the doors open for extended periods of time so that the bugs don't try come in from out of the rain. The pool is serviced twice weekly by the pool technician (it's cleaned on Fridays and then an additional chemical treatment is done on Tuesdays). We also let guests know that they may find pool chairs at the house left by previous guests, but that they can rent from local rental shops that deliver (we provide the names of the rental companies to our guests). We are always willing to assist our guests with any special needs or requests that they have. Patti and David

The location to the beach and the pool at the house were great. The house needs a lot of upkeep there were roaches in the kitchen the Beds were uncomfortable. The house was clean but the stair rail, the front actually the whole house need painting because they were dirty making it feel like the whole house was dirty. They advertise a gas grill but there is no gas grill they have a charcoal grill that is dirty and there are no grilling utensils in the house. All the towels for the house are all downstairs which is an inconvenience to put towels in the upstairs bathroom . All the furniture seems worn out as if things were bought in garage sales. I have rented almost 10 VRBO in the past and have never experienced anything like this. It could be a beautiful home but needs a lot of TLC.

This group called us regarding the bbq because they wanted gas instead of charcoal. We let them know that we provide charcoal bbq's and because they were not expecting that we took them a bag of charcoal. They did not mention any bugs during the entire time that that were there. We do have a contract with Florida Pest Control and they come and do regular treatments and then additional treatments on-demand. We did let them know that the stair railing was stripped and sanded before their arrival but that the carpenter would complete the work after their arrival. The towels are all located in one closet so that the guests can distribute them as they see fit. We have found that this is the best method. The furniture gets replaced as needed and is accurately depicted in the photos. The house gets general touch-ups twice a year to fix wall scuffs and damages by guests.

Just ok
First off property was nice, pool was nice, and beds were nice. The only issues were the pillows were super flat, the moldy master shower, couldn’t control the ac unit, and the house flooded when it rained in the master bedroom and bath. We called the owners who promptly came and cleaned up all the water, however, they never offered us any form of compensation for the inconvenience. I will not not be staying here again. Perfect for a college party however neighbors will complain.

We are very surprised about this review. This group left a sliding door open during a rainstorm where the rain was coming down sideways and water got into that bedroom. Instead of cleaning up the water themselves since they created the problem, they called us for help. We went there right away and mopped up the water. The master shower does not have a mold problem and the house gets professionally cleaned each week. We do not allow any parties, so not sure why they would recommend that people book our house for parties! That's crazy and inappropriate! The pillows are standard pillows and are replaced as needed. If they would have let us know then we would have brought them other pillows. People's preference in pillows and mattresses varies so greatly...you can't please them all!

Rented this property for the weekend for our sore of the moment wedding in st Augustine, very spacious place for a group of guest..Property owners were very helpful with an issue I had finding a spot to park my best man’s RV whom drove 25 hours across the country , they were nice and understanding.. would stay again

Great Thanksgiving Getaway
We booked this home for our Thanksgiving vacation. It was perfect for the 7 of us. The house is spacious, safe, clean, and very inviting. The owners are easy to communicate with and we had no problems during our stay. The kitchen is well stocked and we found it easy to prepare a whole Thanksgiving dinner. I wish it was a *little* closer to the beach, but it's only a couple of minutes drive to the very nice public Butler Beach. I would definitely stay again!! Thanks for the memories!!

Great property, good location, neighbors complain a lot
The first night we were unloading the things out of the cars and into the house. Not even 30 minutes in, a neighbor came that one of the neighbors had complained about the amount of cars (btw, none were blocking the right of way. They were all in the house's drive). The neighbor said that that amount of cars meant there was a party going on, and we were told that no music or anything was heard but that they felt like it was going to happen so they wanted to "shut it down". This was an uncomfortable welcoming, because we were being asked about our plans and intentions without any reason. The house did smell clean when we came in but there was a lot of sand. We found some dirty dishes stored in the cabinets. Besides from the neighbors, who came to complain just because, the house was great. I don't think it's beneficial to host a VRBO next to neighbors who can make the guest feel uncomfortable. The house had a lot of space and the pool was heated to the perfect temperature. Communication with the owner was great. A lot of rules around the house.
