Keep Looking
We spent 4 weeks. This could be a nice rental condo but is in desperate need of an update. The microwave was made in 1991 and I think the stove and fridge about the same. The ice dispenser jams then when you open the freezer door, ice spills out all over the floor. The furnishings are grungy. There are holes in the fabric of the upholstery of the sofa bed. One end table and lamp should be scrapped. The screen is falling out of the screen door from the living area to the balcony. No screen from the master bedroom sliding door to the balcony and the vertical blinds there don’t work. A plumber was needed the 3rd week of our stay to replace the kitchen faucet; the hot water supply line was leaking so bad it was running onto the kitchen floor. Couldn’t be repaired, had to be replaced. The tub in the master bath leaks. There is a puddle on the floor after every showers no matter how carefully the shower curtain is closed. Finally concluded it was leaking at the floor (where the rust stain is).
The very heavy bar stools were useless; almost impossible to move and too large for the area. After 1st week we moved them out of the way so 6 people could maneuver around the dining table.
The only clocks are on the stove and microwave. A heavy ornate clock by the breakfast bar had the wrong time, so we took it down to set it and the hooks holding it to the wall fell out. We replaced the battery but it still didn’t work. Lighting is inadequate in living area.
Items I purchased to make our stay more enjoyable :
4 wine glasses (there were none)
6 plastic bowls (heavy stoneware dishes are not ideal for kids and most of the bowls had hair line cracks in the glaze, not suitable for microwaving )
6 plastic tumblers (again, glass not safe for kids)
4 hand/face towels
Pot large enough to cook spaghetti for 6
Bath mat (tub was slippery as a skating rink)
Small plastic folding table for balcony for drinks and snacks. (We used our cooler in the living room as there’s no coffee table). We brought folding canvas chairs for the beach; really handy as there are only 2 chairs on the balcony and living area seating not adequate for 6.
In spite of all this we enjoyed our 4 weeks because of the people we were with.
Oh, the A/C stopped working our last day. Repairman there quickly. VACASA was right on needed repairs!
