This was a great place to stay while waiting for the Newfoundland and Labrador Ferry. We got stuck on the NL side and the owner treated us like family. I recommend this place over the motel near the dock!

We really enjoyed our stay at Genevieve Bay Inn. The property has a unique charm, as it has been beautifully converted from an old school into a comfortable and welcoming inn. The decor has been thoughtfully done, blending the character of the original building with modern touches. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the location was extremely convenient, especially for anyone travelling on or off the Labrador ferry service. It made for a very easy and convenient stop during our trip. Overall, a lovely place to stay with lots of character, cleanliness, and a great location. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is a former elementary school. The owner gave a tour upon check in explaining the layout when a school (former staff room and principal’s office are now the bar/lounge). Room was very spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast.

This inn exceeded our expectations. Our room was very big and very clean. The dining room was cozy and conversation flowed between the tables. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we saw places on our drive today that we would have missed if they hadn’t told us about them last night. We will definitely stay here again if we are back this way. Very convenient to the Labrador ferry terminal in St Barbe.

What a fun stay! The owners are great people and so fun to talk to. You can also get “screeched in” here like I did and become an honorary Newfoundlander. The food is excellent and the rooms are clean and spacious. Highly recommended!
