“This was a horror show and the property is not safe for human occupancy. We arrived to find that the picture window on the front of the house was boarded up. The stairs to the 2nd floor were dangerously narrow and steep. There was no toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, cleaning items or drinking cups. The kitchen cabinets contained construction debris from a recent renovation. One of the bedrooms had a broken dresser and only two paper thin, flat pillows. The windows were……

“We very much so enjoyed our stay here! Getting into the home was very easy, the property was very clean, and provided everything listed. I felt very safe in the neighborhood where the property is and anything you may need is only about a 20 minute walk or an even shorter drive. I had a few questions when I arrived at the property and within 10 minutes at most the host had responded to me! Would definitely book with them again!”

“Our experience at this property was horrible. The host gave us an incorrect code for one of the units that resulted in wasting over an hour at check in to finally get the correct code. Multiple safety issues that violate VRBOs policies - loose handrail, outlets hanging from walls, exposed wires. Both units smelled of weed (even with explicit check in instructions that no smoking of any kind is allowed at the property). According to the listing linens are provided - but there were only 2 complete……

“Our place was the perfect place for our large group to recharge after a few fun days in STL. 7 adults, 5 children. The house was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed being close to town but not too close and in a sweet little neighborhood. The only thing we didn't plan for was there weren't many pans or dishes to cook with. "Drury might not be a luxury hotel, but it is the most generous and responsible hotel I have ever stayed with. This hotel really complies its aim to create happy customers. In my view, they do it much better than those 4-star and 5-star hotels. Drury offers not only free hot breakfast, but also simple hot dinner (though they called it “snack”). Good coffee is provided at lobby all day. No resort fee. Over night parking is the only extra charge. The parking lot conveniently located to an attached building and is safe. The location is perfect and safe. It locates just next to the aquarium. Staff are friendly and very helpful and they do know how to comply the hotel’s policy (to create happy customers). Our AC in room was out of order at 5AM during hot summer. We were waken up by the heat. We called the front desk, but at that time, they can only sent a big fan up to the room for us, as the maintenance staff would only be available at 8:00. When we checked out, the front desk knew our experience, and told us that they would return what we had paid. They returned the room and parking charges, as well as the deposit right after we checked out. We were impressed with how the hotel's frontline staff handled this issue. We will definitely choose to stay with Drury Hotels. This is the most generous and responsible hotel we ever experienced. They truly care about their customers."
