"Nice place to stay for the night, beds were comfortable, not the fanciest place but clean and breakfast was just ok."

"I was surprised I was charged a $20 early check in fee at 1:30pm. Check in time is 3pm. So, yes, I was early by 90 minutes. However many rooms were ready and there was literally no one there, with 3 or 4 cars in the lot and the manager doing an interview with someone in the lobby. It seemed an unnecessary price grab on top of the inflated rate paid as it is 20min from Road America. I asked the manager and he said that was hotel policy. I own a business and in the same situation, this would have been an opportunity to show discretion, waive the fee, and create a good impression. The hotel itself was fine and our stay was fine. I know it is a little thing, but $20 is $20 and unfortunately this colored my opinion of the hotel and if I attend the event at Road America again (likely) I will look for other options. "

"We had a nice stay at The Osthoff Resort overall. The property was very clean, and we enjoyed both the pools and the beach. The location is beautiful, and the grounds are well maintained. That said, we were a little disappointed that so many activities came with additional fees. We were surprised that things like stand-up paddleboards and bikes weren’t included for resort guests. It would have made the experience feel like a better value. The only other issue was that the air conditioning in our room struggled to keep up, which made it less comfortable during our stay. Overall, it’s a nice resort in a beautiful setting, but a few improvements would make the guest experience even better."
