Great service, good find during Women’s Euros

The Inn was very clean and the shared bathroom facilities were cleaned regularly. The host Markus is very friendly and helpful, he makes it his priority to ensure you have a great stay.

I can’t rate this hotel highly enough. Simple, but with great communal facilities, friendly fellow guests, very very clean. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, desk and chair, wardrobe, clothes rail… Each room has big windows with shutters, lots of trees and birdsong outside. Marcus is a fantastic host, speaks excellent English and so welcoming and friendly. The hotel is in a quiet area but on a main road, east to get to and with excellent transport links. The hotel does not serve food or drink apart from vending machines (coins needed) but there are cafes and restaurants close by and food shops within easy walking distance. There are kitchen facilities on each floor, washing machines, dryers, and the ablutions are excellent.

Fantastic location, fantastic host

I stayed at the Yellow Inn as I was attending a conference at the Olma across the road. The Yellow Inn was a fantastic location for this. Markus was a fantastic host. Although there wasn't a reception, it was very easy to communicate with him about my arrangements and he kindly stored my things after I checked out while I travelled somewhere else at the weekend. Throughout my time there, Markus was friendly and helpful and did everything possible to make sure his guests had an enjoyable stay. He was always present and working very hard at the Yellow Inn which was always tidy, clean and well-equipped. Yellow Inn has everything one could possibly need and is a wonderful workation location. I even got some of Markus' delicious mead which I shared with my friends!

The whole experience was wonderful. Very clean and very comfortable. The host was friendly and made sure we had everything. There is a kitchenette on each floor and laundry machines on the upper floor. Each room has a mini fridge. (No freezers) The furnishings in the room are well done. The room photos online are legit and reflect how nice it is. There are quiet hours too, so we had a good sleep.

Lovely Visit

I had a great stay at the Yellow Inn! The room was more spacious and comfortable than I was expecting. Also, the common area with a kitchen, washer and dryer was amazing. The self check-in was also very easy. All around a great stay.

Totally self-service

Everything since the arrival is self service (you must pick up the keys from a post box) and then insider there's no one besides guests. Difficult to find the building and parking in the night (maybe would be good to send more specifications to the guests).

Pleasantly surprised

When we first arrived, we felt that it was a bit further from the centre than we realised, but when we discovered that there were regular buses (generally every 5 - 10 minutes throughout the day) and only a short ride away it cancelled out our initial concern. We knew when we booked that it was basically bed and amenities only, but it proved to be exactly what we wanted and enabled us from paying "frightening" rates that were on being asked for elsewhere. The room and amenities were spotlessly clean, suited our requirements perfectly and at a very reasonable price in an otherwise expensive location.

Warning: Nowhere on the listing of this hotel or during my booking process is it stated that the rooms are not en suite. You have to share the bathroom with everyone in your hall. If I had known that, I wouldn’t have booked this place. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, because there are none of those things in the shared bathroom. Also, the heater didn’t work, and I was cold at night. The things I liked: the very fast wifi and the laundry machines. Although, the washing machine on the right didn’t spin and drain well, and my clothes were drenched. And the dryer on the right didn’t work well either. So, make sure you use the machines on the left.
