Needs a Little TLC

The location of Seabiscuit is great, a short walk to the cut. The layout and size of the house is perfect but the house itself is getting a little “tired”. Needs to be updated and the kitchen needs new pots and pans. If you rent it be sure to bring your own! The property management people are great and communicate when you need them.

We love the island!

Seabiscuit is in a great location on the island and has a short boardwalk with access to the beach. The kitchen supplies do not accommodate feeding a large family. The cookware and supplies are outdated. There are plenty of dishes to eat on, but cooking to feed 15 was difficult with what was available at the house. The floors were not very clean, our feet were black if we went without shoes inside the house. The sliding glass door to go out on the main level was so difficult to open. You had to barely open it and then push it the rest of way open with your hip, it wouldn't slide. Overall we have stayed in cleaner, more accommodating houses on the island for our large group. Probably would not rent this house again.

With 3 couples, there was more than enough space for each of us to have our own places to relax - together or apart. Each floor has a great deck for sunrise and dolphin watching! As well, the top floor is huge! A true suite. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen & loved the icemaker. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Nice house right on the beach

Using the elevator, someone in a wheelchair could literally go from the top floor all the way to the beach without doing a single step (big advantage for disabled people!)

Amazing week on SGI

We had 14 family members staying at this house for a week. The location was perfect. The house was roomy and well equipped for family time. Would stay here again.

The customer service was excellent and they fixed some problems and offered replacements for some others. They were very responsive and easy to work with! We thoroughly enjoyed the beachfront decks and were entertained almost daily with pods of dolphin performing for us and the thrill of the Navy jets flying by! Nature is very present on SGI and the beaches of clean, full of shells and shore birds fishing! This was the perfect house for enjoying nature and the beach during the day and playing cards together in the evenings. Beds are super comfy and we enjoyed using the elevator! I highly recommend this lovely house!

Great Place

We have stayed at several homes on SG, but this one is far and way the best one. The home is clean the location is great, the views are spectaculars what can I say. The weather was horrible and with 4 grand kids I was worried. But the home is so large that the kids had plenty of room to play and the minute the weather broke we we on the beach in less than 3 minutes, that's how close it is. The kitchen is very well stocked you felt you were at home. Great porch to eat lunch on and watch the Dolphin play in the water. If your looking for a place that will not give you any surprises when you open the door look no further, book it now!

Interior paint, fixtures, cabinets, some furniture, Microwave falling out of the cabinet, etc.. are in desperate need of updates. Still overall location is what sells the place. I will say I have stayed in several houses on St George island and this was not the best.

Great family rental

Had a family reunion at this rental. It was great. Large upstairs for kids, with game room. Great kitchen, plenty of seating. It was a perfect Thanksgiving week!!!!!

Family vacation 2022

My family really enjoyed our week at Turthley Rad. The home could not have been more perfect. It was well appointed and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. My grandchildren. ages 2 two 3 year olds and a 4 year old had the best time ever. The beach was beautiful and being just steps away was wonderful! The management company was great and very responsive to the few things we needed. All in all, it is one of the best vacations my family has had together.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a very large house. Very spacious, however, you can tell it's one of the older properties and we had several issues happen. First the toilet tank on the top floor completely busted open just trying to flush it and water was everywhere. Second there were a lot of ants. Third, the front door handle kept coming off. Although there were these issues the staff was fairly good at responding, but had trouble getting the right help on the weekend and had to wait til Monday for some repairs. Overall the stay was pretty good.
