“The cottage is in a lovely location, very close to Filey, with some lovely walks around the village. The quirky Ship Inn (100 yds away) provides wonderful food and a very warm welcome. The 'little Stithy' cottage was very comfortable, however, we felt it didn't need the kitchen in the same room. We were kept awake most of the night from the humming of the fridge and the bright timer light on the microwave! A tea towel remedied this. “It was a great experience for my wife and I to sleep over a pub. The staff were extremely friendly. We met some wonderful people from Wells and we had a really good beer and cider. They even made us a platter of cheese and crackers. The parking was very good, access to the pub was a little difficult due to the many staircases one had to use to get to our room. “The house is situated in a lovely area. The host was pleasant and left a useful ‘welcome basket’ and plenty of linen etc. The house was clean, however it was generally ‘dated / tired’ and cluttered; with an overgrown garden. A shame there was no way of watching live tv (particularly in the week of the Queen dying) Upstairs has creaky floorboards and doors that drag on carpets. The beds were comfortable but the master bedroom was cramped with oversized furniture and there was no evidence of twin……
