The food is very good, and the team goes out of their way to accommodate special requests whenever possible. For those looking to explore beyond the resort, the staff are also happy to recommend several excellent local restaurants within walking distance, adding even more charm and variety to the overall experience."
Sugar Cane Club Hotel And Spa - Adults Only

"The Sugar Cane Club Hotel and Spa is an immaculately well maintained property. The gardens are a delight to see at this time of year, with a lot of the shrubs in bloom. The room was large, clean and the bed comfortable. The balcony was a great place to watch the sun set over the ocean. The restaurant is pleasant with attentive staff serving good, well priced meals. There were ample sun loungers around the property and the pool. The real strength of this place is the staff. Nothing too much trouble or too busy to share a bit of banter; all with a friendly smile. The only criticism I would make is due to the slightly remote location, the shuttle that takes guests to the beach and nearby Speightstown could run more often and later into the evening for those guests that want to explore the bars and restuarants, without having to specify a pickup time."

"The walk to Mullins beach was great- just a 2-3 minute walk. I found another quieter beach which was a 9 minute walk. Hidden gem. When you hit the main beach head left and look for a gap between the houses about another 7 min away but better to walk than drive because nowhere to park really. The pool was amazing. Swam every day multiple times and no one to share it with. Nice pool temp and very private. There was some construction beside our unit which was a bit of a dower because of the noise basically every day from 9-5 ( except Sunday) but no fault of the wonderful hosts. The restaurants are expensive but tasty food. Do not go to Fish Pot b/c it’s overrated and small portions. Sea Shed was wonderful. Went twice. The nachos are excellent there. If you would like to spend a little less and like Jamaican food go to RJ&J’s. 9/10 min walk. Super fast service and great food. Went to Sunnd Spa - pricey but really decent gym. 25 BD and you can stay all day if you want. If you like to do reformer Pilates bring your Pilates grippy socks b/c they charge 20 USD. I recommend you bring your pillow if you are fussy about bed pillows. I really missed mine but the bed was great and AC worked very well. Monkeys and birds all the time. Good satellite TV. Watched a few movies. Fridge is big and works well. Great location in Mullins. Definitely worth the money."

"What a great place to stay, the villa itself is fabulous and felt like home the second we got there. Bruce responded quickly to my pre-holiday queries and Lorraine was marvellous as our host when we arrived, knowledgeable and answering any questions speedily. The villa was well stocked, beds were comfortable and everything you need is there for you. We loved the area as near to beaches, bars and restaurants, some walkable and some by local transport, always a fun experience "

"Just, wow! This house was the PERFECT place for our friend group of 5 to take a vacation to Barbados. The house itself was clean, fully equipped (down to pool noodles and card games), and super comfortable! Each bedroom had its own separate AC unit and the fans throughout the common spaces kept the airflow breezy and not too hot. Check in was super easy and painless as it was self check in. The lady that provided our cleaning during our stay was so sweet, respectful, and helpful! We had the best time swimming in the pool, playing card games around the back deck table, and enjoying our morning coffee while watching baby monkeys play in the backyard. If you’re debating whether or not to book, BOOK! You won’t regret this beautiful getaway in Barbados!"
Delightful garden cottage, realistically priced, near to Gibbs / Mullins beaches

"Fabulous garden cottage, literally a steady 5 minutes walk to Gibbes beach or 3 minutes to Mullins beach. Well-equipped and freshly decorated, with aircon in bedroom. Everything as described and more. Looked after by the lovely Wendy but not intrusive. Hummingbirds, green monkeys, parakeets and butterflies in abundance in the amazing garden. Such a relaxing holiday - we will be back "
