"Had a really enjoyable stay here. Lovely big twin room, No 12 , 1st floor Lewis Carrol. Staff exceptionally helpful 👍 Close to all amenities, shops, restaurants, historical buildings & transport. Would definitely stay again. "

"This was definitely a step above the average city centre hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, clean, comfortable room, and great breakfast including a cooked option which was prepared individually. A nice touch to provide a quality bar of chocolate, and some drinks in the room."

"Could not fault this hotel, so clean and welcoming. Was my husband’s 70th birthday, had card and wine delivered to room, such a lovely gesture, then at breakfast they bought an ice cream cake out and sang happy birthday. Amazing staff and hotel. Thank you "

"There was construction happening right outside the window until 2AM. I known that's not the hotels fault but people should know that if they stay there they will hear everything that happens around them, including conversations (and other things) happening the next room over."

"Clean room. Shower controls were reversed, which caused some entertainment. Odd (and not very nice) smells around the corridors…smelled like bad drains. "

"The hotel is purported to be of 5-star accommodation but in reality is only 2 star based on our experience and the room provided. So small room and basic, no facilities, poor advice on parking nearby. We booked for 3 nights but were so disappointed we left after 2 nights, despite having pre-paid. I feel like seeking compensation for misrepresentation from Expedia or the hotel. I suggest that Expedia remove this hotel from your portfolio and it will caution me from booking other hotels through Expedia in the future. James "
