“We had a great stay in this property. It is clean, well equipped and in a really handy location with the train station close by and a nice couple of wee pubs up the road. the house itself has a modern kitchen and main bathroom as well as another bathroom on the top ( 3rd Floor ). Bedrooms have good space and are clean and well maintained. It is an older terraced property over three floors and with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor, it might not suit those with mobility issues,……

“This is a remarkable historic property in the Swaledale valley, with extraordinary views. And yet the cottage has been painstakingly updated inside, with every comfort and amenity attended to. The bed is comfortable; the bath is modern; there's a fantastic wood-stove. And the owners have provided wonderful maps and suggestions for walks in the area. You're just up the hill from the Punch Bowl, a gastro-pub with good food. This is a very special place to stay.”

“The cottage is extremely well kitted out, with a top class tea room and small general store in the village, just 40 metres away. There's no garden but enough room to sit outside at the front and have an evening drink. We didn't try the pub but it's worth looking at the reviews for it 😊 Fantastic walking from the door, and if the weather is good you can even swim in the river across the fields.”
