“We appreciated that the landlord allowed us to check in early. Like many ABNB properties, the inside is not quite as nice as the pictures. It’s barely four stars in my opinion. The outside is rough and so is the neighborhood, however that was relatively clear from the photos before we arrived. The appliances were new. Overall not a bad property but it needs work, particularly on the outside.”

“We stayed for 3 nights - group of three 50+ year old HS friends in town for a wedding/golf weekend. House/street was very quiet and convenient to food/stores, etc. House was clean, linens/towels provided (bring your own shampoo/soap), etc. Appliances worked, showers were good/clean, etc. Only gripe was there was a bit of an ant infestation -- we didn't leave food open on the counter, but we did have some wrapped cookies that were covered with about 1,000 ants one morning. “This was a lovely house, very close and convenient to shopping, downtown, and UR. We had 5 adults for a long weekend and the amenities were clean, updated and very comfortable. I would stay here again. AND James was the perfect host. Perfect communication! Prompt, responsive, friendly, and thorough!!!”

“I took two teams (UMASS & JMU) to the college super regional Pickleball tournament. The house was fantastic because it was affordable for college kids (though one needed to be 30 years of age to book it…I exceed that age), it had lots of beds and enough bathrooms and a kitchen. I recommend getting there in the daylight hours because it is a little off the beaten path and dark when you arrive but it was perfect fit for our needs - great hospitality! Beautiful animals in the property too (donkeys……

“My daughter and I were in town for the Jeff Cup soccer tournament, great location for restaurants and malls. However, if you are sensitive to strong smells and odors I would take that into consideration. The walls seems thin, I could here conversations and singing also there were lots of cameras everywhere. the location seemed very safe for the amount of cameras througth the unit.”

“Owner messaged and told me check in was at 5:00. I informed her that my confirmation showed 4:00. I checked in early because I came from MD and owner charged me $50 to check in 1 1/2 hrs early at 2:30. Upon entering the home and returning to get 2nd bag I was met by a Dominion Electric employee who first asked if I was the owner and I explained to him I was the renter for 4 days. He told me he was there to shut off the electric for non payment. He also advised that this was the second extension……

“This property is extremely clean, minimalistic, and decorated beautifully. I was provided with clean towels, extra blankets, a very large tv, and bathroom products. The check in process was seamless and the owners are very quick to respond with any questions or concerns you may have. Would definitely stay here again!”

“I chose the location based on its proximity to a family gathering in Mary Mumford area of Richmond. I also knew Carytown, VMA and Windsor Farms were within easy walking distance from the location for our daily explorations on foot. We were so delighted to have lucked into such a lovely space.
