Wonderful Heavenly Ski Retreat
This place is a gem! Excellent location for skiing/snowboarding at Heavenly and access to the village.
We (married couple, no kids) stayed in the apartment for three months (Jan-April). We had no car except for the first week and the last day and were able to take the bus (the town bus and the Heavenly shuttle) to run our errands in town and get to the mountain.
Some of the great features about the apt. we wanted to add:
- The apartment has three actual bedrooms (some other listings count the living room with an expandable couch as a room, but this place has three actual bedrooms).
- You can walk from the apartment to the bus station at Tina
and Tramway Dr in under 5 minutes (or a little longer if the snow is high). Once you have the address of Dave's unit, search for the Tina Court and Tramway bus stop and you will see where the bus stop is.
- From this bus stop you can take Bus 22 to the heart of Heavenly Village. The bus will drop you off at Stateline Transit Center.
- AMAZING/VERY IMPORTANT: If you start/end your skiing/snowboarding day at Stagecoach or Boulder, the Heavenly Ski Resort shuttle will pick you up at the Tina Court and Tramway bus stop and drop you off at Stagecoach or Boulder. You just have to call Heavenly Dispatch for pick up (the shuttle does not stop at Tina and Tramway as part of its scheduled route). At the end of your day, ask the bus driver to drop you off at Tina and Tramway if you get on the bus at Stagecoach or Boulder.
- The apartment is even more spacious than the pictures portray. The living room has a large dining table and a couple of chairs.
- The stairs take you to the master bedroom and the second bedroom. The second bedroom has a terrace facing the back/the mountain. The master bedroom is gigantic. We actually slept in the second bedroom and used the master bedroom for storing clothes and luggage.
- The third room is next to the kitchen. This room is a little colder than the top ones. This room has another little terrace/porch off the back of it.
- Kitchen appliances and washer/dryer are all great!
- The fireplace works really well and actually warms up the room!
- The kitchen counter can be used as a table (as compared to other counters where your knees hit and you cannot sit properly or comfortably).
Dave was super easy to communicate with. He promptly answered and addressed any question, request or minor issue we had.
Overall, we had an amazing stay!!!
