「It was a beautiful place to stay! We enjoyed it very much. There were a few things that could be improved to make it more comfortable-working DVD player, recliner that has some life left. The check in process was great, host was good and it was so nice to be able to bring my pup with and her to have the space to enjoy the outdoors right there.」

「The cabin was clean and in a good location. We appreciated having the kayaks, paddleboard and canoe. We made great use of the bean-bag toss game. It was very hot on the weekend we stayed so we appreciated the lake side was well shaded until mid-afternoon. Plus air conditioning for sleeping. We did not have much luck fishing but we did see fish. We also saw, deer, beaver, turtles, pelicans, eagles and many birds. We appreciated the smaller size of the lake. I was able to kayak the perimeter in 45...

「This is a very nice property with a great lake lot and nicely updated cabin. The boat lift and dock were great for our boat and worked well. The location is very convenient. Alexandria is just 6 miles away. The Reno Bar and Grille is close, but it was never noisy. They have good food there too! Public access is about 3 docks north but not noisy either. Great lake to fish on.」

「This place was beautiful! We loved our time on Lake Lakota. Had the best time on the screened in porch. So many different areas to hang out outside! Kitchen and living area was great for entertaining. Lots of storage, games, activities, etc! It does only sleep 10 adults comfortably, not 12 and the dock is in rough shape, kinda hanging by a thread. Ultimately it was the perfect location with beautifully clear water. Thank you for the best time!」

「Hands down, the best travel experience I have had to date! I used to spend summers at this lake at a resort, in a cabin. I was sad when that was sold off as private lots. I stumbled upon this and took a chance and it blew me away! The ease of working with the hosts and the cleanliness were both top notch, but the service…. Exceptional. We had two 12 year old boys and this is a trip they will never forget. The fishing was amazing and when I say we caught at least 100 fish, I’m being conservative....

「The house was very clean! Communication with the host was easy for the most part. To get to the lake it is a steep hill. We had trouble with the boat rental but was able to get everything figured out. There was a quarter tank of gas in the boat & no life jackets. There was no propane in the grill when we tried to start dinner. But glad I was able to communicate with the host!」

「The host was very easy to communicate with and very reasonable. Although the outside looks a little rough (as stated by the owner), it's not a problem. It is very comfortable inside. It was very clean. The Kitchen was well stocked. the fact there is no dishwasher wasn't a problem.It has a beautiful lake view!」
