Steyr Old Town Loft

Steyr Old Town loft is a great stay for families, executives, friends and wedding parties.

It's a calm place in the old town with easy access to all fo the cities amenities at your doorstep.

The loft is occupying the entire top floor of an old town house.

Spreading out over more than 125 square metres, it offers 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms as well as a generous mudroom as well as an open plan kitchen, living and dinging area.

The place has been lovingly conceptualised and designed by my wife Tania and myself.

We live in Sydney, Australia for most of the year. Every year, we come to Steyr for several months to visit family and friends and enjoy the town and it´s still mostly undiscovered charm.

Whenever we were in Steyr we spent most of our time in this beautiful neighbourhood with our favourite eateries and drinkeries, a beautiful unspoilt old town which can be explored on foot and the flowing waters of the crystal clear river just a stones-throw away.

We just had to have a place here, so when the opportunity came to turn two apartments into our own European old town heaven in our most favourite nook of Steyr, we had to take it.

The result is a sophisticated, yet cosy old-town style “penthouse” where anyone can feel at home for a night or several months on end. We wanted to create a place that offers space to unwind, relax, be creative and have a great time.

We love the Italian bathroom appliances our carved ceilings or the gorgeous oak chevron floor which we imported from Bavaria. When you enter you will note that we even incorporated local oak from our country estate just half an hour outside of Steyr in the cider district.

Now that our family has grown up and our kids go to school in Australia, we want to share our place with you, to enjoy.

Steyr Old Town loft is ideal for wedding parties and only a short walk to Schloss Lamberg (where civil weddings take place in Steyr). It's possibly the most central location in Steyr and still very private in a secluded alleyway. It´s ideal for the bridal party to get ready for their big day and provides a great canvas for plenty of memories and can host any Champagne reception in style.

We invite you to to explore the magical corners of Steyr, to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the big cities of this world, to go for a walk and share the rich history of a small corner of the world where - seemingly - time is standing still.
