"Staff lovely, breakfast was tasty and plenty choice. Bed comfy however I would have preferred firmer pillows but my husband and daughter liked the ones provided. Room temperature was ideal."

"Room was comfortable and clean. The shower scared me to death because of the height of the tub and only a partial glass door was provided. I asked for a bath that would accommodate my disability but it wasn’t available, so I got a bath that had high walls and made it almost impossible to get into it. The food in the restaurant was ok - nothing special about it. Server was a bit rude and not very attentive at all. I’m glad I only had one meal there."

"I really love the Dakota as it has a lovely boutique feel, great lounge area to relax in. The rooms are very nice and stylish with plenty room and comfortable beds. The staff are very nice. My first choice when heading to Edinburgh, especially when visiting the outlets in Livingston. "

"Check in was seamless, staff were friendly, good fun and informative. Sofa bed really isn't comfortable though. Hence the 4 stars. You can feel every spring. So we ended up 3 in a bed. Lovely hotel though, and we would stay again. "
