“We booked at the last minute fir 2 nights as we were delayed sailing to Isle of Barra due to bad weather. Melfort was perfect for us to relax and begin our holiday, the family loved the pool and we had a lovely walk. The cottage was great. “The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.”

“The property was a great size and so are the rooms. Local to the town centre. There was parking but not always outside or in view from the property. The only negatives I have are: The beds (especially in the main/big) are very uncomfortable. All the beds and mattress need replacing completely. It was quite expensive based on 3 nights for 2 adults and a baby. I appreciate that it can accommodate 8 people but maybe a reduced price based on how many guest are staying if not full capacity. ”

“We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended.”
