Great Weekend Escape

We absolutely loved the expansive open plan upstairs area with fully equipped kitchen and comfy seating and generous dining table. The deck and scenic water views across Swan Bay just added to the feeling of spaciousness. The house is on a busy main road, but the traffic noise did not bother us at all. We felt that the open scenery more than made up for it. Would happily stay again. A very homely and well-located base from which to explore Phillip Island.

What a treasure

A treasure found, not buried in beach, but very close to a spectacular surf beach, ironically bearing the same name. The accomodation was more than I expected, incredibly clean, and as described. A wonderful experience, I wish I could have stayed longer; I hope to stay again.

Double Birthday getaway

Great sized property for a group. Ample open plan living space, huge couch, great deck with table and lounge chairs. Heaps of room for a toddler to play and ride his little trike. Dog friendly with a little out door area for dogs. Huge workable kitchen and fridge. I cooked and catered for 9 people over the weekend without any issues. Heaps of dishes, serving platters and large bowls to use for catering. Not the cleanest place I’ve stayed but reasonable. Nice large bathroom and good shower with unhookable hose to wash small children. I would definitely stay again.

Weekend get away to Phillip Island

The home was inviting & welcoming. We enjoyed relaxed evenings on the balcony with a lovely view. We were well located to a fabulous dog walking beach & the Woolami village. Easy access to all the island had to offer. Our host was more than helpful in every way.

We liked the space of the property, and the fact that it was dog friendly and the lounge area upstairs was so comfortable and with an awesome scenery which waas a plus for us as we spent most of our winding down time in that part of the house. Thankyou Katherine

Lovely, view, cozy home.

Delighted with the property, close to everything and has a beautiful view of the water. We had everything we heeded for a quick visit which would be the case for a long stay also. Definitely recommend this lovely home.

Track Day getaway

Great property for a short stay if attending events at the GP circuit. Central for everything and even plenty of parking out the back for cars and trailers etc. House was lovely with a great view and a fantastic deck and entertainment area overlooking Westernport. Highly recommended

Couldn't be better!

Perfect location and perfect accommodation. Everything so easily accessible. The generously sized balcony was the perfect spot to view sunrises and gaze at the uninterrupted view of Churchill Island Marine park. The surf beach was a only a lazy 5 minute walk in the opposite direction. Living spaces were open and airy, with all mod coms and tasteful beach themed artefacts. An absolute delight! The host (Katherine) was wonderful. She responded to any request or question in a timely and friendly manner, even suggesting places to explore, where to eat and things to do. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend to families or couples. Perfect in every way. I couldn't have asked for more.

Being on the main rd was a bit noisy but ok. The fridge was a little small for a family. The back beach was superb we enjoyed a wonderful sunset. Great space for a family would have enjoyed a few more staples i.e salt pepper oil. Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house

Nice place for a short stay

The first-floor area is open-plan and has great views of the water. You can sit back and enjoy a great evening with a glass of wine and BBQ. The bedrooms are quite small but comfy. Felt they were a bit dusty and needed a good vacuum.

This property has a lot of potential. The view from the lounge area is awesome despite the busy road, the layout is nice and it's a few min walk to the beach. The hard floors make it nice for having pets as well. We were disappointed, though, that it didn't appear to have been cleaned between uses and the overall dirt, grime, and rubbish made it much less enjoyable. If it was cleaned better we would consider returning.

Surf Beach House - short and sweetish

The view was amazing and the living room, kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. The bedrooms not so much with grit on the mattress protectors and shelves not wiped clean, so we lived out of our bags - which was not a big issue. Please refill the dishwasher tablets. We loaded the dishwasher to use on the last night and when we checked the box, it was empty, so had to wash everything by hand. All up a lovely place with a few tweaks!

Also suitable for large groups

We had five very relaxed but also productive seminar days in this accommodation. We were ten adults and we all felt comfortable. We cooked every day and everything we needed was there. The barbecue was great and the sea view every morning was a dream. Unfortunately, it was too noisy for group conversations on the balcony during the day due to the proximity to the road. We just loved the possibilties of the proximity (Beaches, Koala Parks, having dinner in Cowes).

Don't waste your money. Dirty,musty, not pet friendly, missing fan knobs. Previous reviews are false

Don't waste your money!! There were cobwebs everywhere, the sofa was disgusting there were still traces of food. After wiping it down the cloth was black from dirt. The shower heads do not stay up right so it was difficult to shower and was your hair. The shower door handle in the en suite was broken so kept sliding down the door. The bathrooms were very very old, with mould and dirt build up. There were no knobs on the switches to turn on the fans. There was no backyard, I thought this was a pet friendly accommodation. Apart from the fact that pets are allowed into the house, this is not pet friendly accommodation. No grass area. Just a little caged off area on the side with rocks. Rocks that cut up dogs feet. Not to mention the fact that there are no locks on the gate so anyone can just come in and take your dog. The big gate at the back does not fully open, you also have to lift the heavy gate to get it latched again. The side door needs to be forced to close, it alsogets wet because of the air-conditioning water leaking down. The laundry door only has one lock that works. To be honest I wanted to leave the day after we arrived. My poor dog spent so much time in his crate, no one wanted to sit on the dirty sofa. I had paid all this money to stay and have a relaxing holiday before we all go back to working four jobs. It was not a very enjoyable experience. This was like staying a motel on the side of the rd that you pay $79 or less for. . I was expecting an old house but not like this. All the reviews for the house are all untrue. The only good things about this property was the distance to the beach and the view, but the furniture should be replaced, it is rusty. It is very clear that owners did not inspect the property prior to our arrival as they would have noticed all these faults. No maintenance has been done to this property. I should not need to call to tell them the knobs are missing from the fans, the sofa is filthy.
