Hotel is in a great location, overlooking Swanage sea front. Or room was clean and tidy and some effort had been put into refreshing the traditional decor. The shower in our bathroom was rather weak though.

Stayed 2 nights in room 9 on ground floor. Awakened each morning around 06.00 by people in the room above walking back and forth on the squeaky floorboards! Impossible to go back to sleep. Receptionist was apologetic but obviously knew about the poor state of the floor.

We had a two night weekend stay. Evening meal was very good and the morning breakfast is excellent. Great choice of continental and help yourself to a full English Breakfast. I recommend paying the little extra for a room with balcony and the wonderful sea views with the Isle of Wight on the horizon. Wonderful helpful staff.
