Staff was helpful. Location is good. Lots on on-site parking. Beds and pillows and not comfortable. Had to move rooms due to a major leak from the room above. Little to no compensation for the trouble. Lots of noise from hallways. Nice bar and decent restaurant Greggs right next door. Rooms need to be updated. Parts of bathrooms are falling apart. Pull outs beds are not comfortable.

A very convenient hotel, room was large, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. The check-out time of 12.00 was a surprise and very welcome as we were en route to an afternoon wedding and the venue was only 10 miles away.

Mattress on the bed was VERY FIRM. Parking charge was unnecessary. Unable to get an evening meal in the hotel restaurant ( or at the nearby Beefeater) as there were many coach loads of tourists staying at both the Doubletree and the nearby Premier Inn.

Room was clean, slightly dated for the price you pay, you’d expect more for the Hilton chain. The staff I dealt with had been friendly. Onsite parking was good with a nice price of £3 a night, just remember that if you drive all the way around the back looking for a better space, you will need to then drive out of the hotel, down the dual carriageway and back again to re-enter the car park. At the time of my stay the access to loop back around the hotel car park was blocked off.

Lovely spacious room with a fantastic shower, felt like you were being jet washed. Great breakfast selection and a nice bar/lobby area And delicious warm cookies on arrival Only slight disappointment was the air conditioning was an air cooling system and only moderately effective (the outside temperature on arrival of our stay was 27C)

Greeted with a big smile, the staff were polite and helpful. The bed was hideous, rickety old thing that had a few stories to tell. Maybe i was in the honeymoon suite. After a long drive and getting my children settled, i wasn’t up for changing rooms.
