"From the moment we checked in the staff were friendly and attentive. Whilst the hotel is a little dated, the rooms are well-equipped and imaculayely clean. The cost of parking is reasonable and the hotel is located in a great position. The breakfast buffet was excellent."
"Excellent property with friendly & helpful staff except for one incident at breakfast time.
My wife wanted to eat an item from the bar for breakfast. The male supervisor did not allow it - his reason was that food from the bar cannot be eaten at the restaurant- which was literally a couple of steps away from each other.
Even my wife’s suggestion to pay for it at the bar & bring the item herself to the restaurant was disallowed.
To us, it’s totally baffling, unreasonable & nonsensical. Such discriminatory practice should cease & the staff member counselled. "
"This is the second time we've visited the Low Head, George Town area and wanted to stay at the pilot station.
We were not disappointed; these charming old buildings are in great condition for their age. We had trouble with the gas heater in our unit but Jodi from the kiosk came to the rescue. The bed was comfortable; the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment and parking was onsite and close to the unit. These units are old and have some "quirky" features at times. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip. The museum is well worth a visit too, there is so much history in this part of Tasmania."
"The place is amazing.Stayed there before. The food was unreal.Huge servings and even though it was almost booked out the food was served fast. The place to stay in Georgetown!"
