"We had a wonderful time here at the cozy tiny house. The creek is beautiful to relax and listen to. The fire pit was amazing. The gas grill was brand new and perfect for grilling. "Our stay at The Birds Nest was absolutely incredible!! Although the pictures on line show a beautiful home they truly don’t give this place justice!! It is truly amazing and the front porch was awsome with cornhole. it is beautifully decorated and anything you think u need is there and more!! We all enjoyed the hot tub!! "We really enjoyed our stay here. Very close to downtown and quiet. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious kitchen/dining area. Everything was clean and labeled so we didn't have to search every cabinet. They had additional T-paper and dishwasher pods. Can't comment on hot tub since we didn't use it.Sue and Steve were quick to answer any questions we had. I definitely recommend others stay here when in Bryson City."

"I got very ill while staying at this property, and they were so very accommodating, even were going to allow me to stay an extra night to try to recuperate. My daughter was able to come and get me to take me home and they did not charge me for the extra night. Also, they cleaned the room and changed my sheets in the middle of my stay to keep me comfortable. Excellent staff and front desk personnel."

"Liked that it was a 10 minute walk to the casino. Room was clean and comfortable, felt very safe. Breakfast is slim. Shower did not drain well and sink was a little slower as well. We did let the front desk know. Overall very close to the casino, only a short walk. Did not think it made much sense for the shuttle to only run from 3pm on Saturdays to the casino as we needed a ride in the rain on a Saturday and had to walk. Don't mind the 10 minute walk in the sun."

"We have stayed here several times in the last three years. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, but this past time, there was food left in the fridge and drink rings on the countertops. Nothing to freak out about, but just not as good as it has been in the past. Also, if you are not a pet person, I don't recommend staying on the first floor. That is where they usually put their guests with animals and the rooms smell like pets. The free breakfast is modest, but good. Overall, our stays have been very nice."

"We just needed a fair priced place to stay for one night that was close to Day out with Thomas. This hotel fit the bill and had good ratings. There weren’t really any bells or whistles, but it was clean, felt safe, and was quiet. Honestly, it’s a very cutesy hotel overlooking the river, it just needs a bit of tlc to keep up with times. The pool was out of commission, the drink machine was not working, and the internet was down. Safety wise, I feel like updating the room doors and the knobs/ locking mechanisms would be ideal. My two year old was constantly unlocking the doors, and she could just about squeeze between the chain lock if she tried hard enough. I also wished there was a lamp or something in the room, instead of the singular wall light, which was really bright. Lastly, blinds on the front windows or thicker blackout curtains would be better. I didn’t feel 100% with just the thin curtains hanging there. All in all though, I’d stay here again if we were ever back in the area."
