Stunning location, charming historical home

Clean home with great updates that was very accommodating for our group of 7 (three adult couples and one college student). We really enjoyed the beauty of the area. The house had absolutely everything we needed for cooking family meals. As with many old homes, the stairs are a little steep and there is a main floor bedroom for those who need to avoid stairs.

Magical getaway

The listing does not do this place justice. The views of Ranier over the lake are stunning. My kids loved splashing in the lake on the little private rocky waterfront. I will dream of this house!

Golf Get-Away

This property is well laid out with plenty of room for a larger group to spread out (we were only a group of 4). Loved the patio outdoor area and down by the waterfront for an evening glass of wine. Close proximity to The Home Course and Chambers Bay.

Room For Everyone

This house fit all 9 of us comfortably. The old house is a little creaky, but has lots of character. Having three bathrooms was a plus! It has absolutely everything. All the kitchen stuff you would need, lots a games and puzzles, a large deck and yard with lots of outdoor furniture and even a propane heater and fire table. We stayed there for my son's wedding at Thornewood Castle, and my whole family had a great time.

Nice for family weekend together

We liked the yard and view of Mt. Rainer when the clouds cooperated. The family room had several glass doors that allowed a nice open room and view of outside. The bedrooms were spacious for what we needed. The bedroom suite downstairs was very nice, bath, sitting area private patio. Three bedrooms up stairs were good . The stairs could be tricky if you're not nimble. The one big negative for us was lack of dining places in walking distance. There was one taco restaurant and a convenience store within a mile or so.

Amazing property

We recently stayed at this property while we were in town for a family funeral. The house and property were beautiful. I appreciated the ramp in the front, it was very helpful for my elderly mom and aunt, plus rolling up our luggage to the front door. The large main bedroom and bath are on the main level which accommodated the three not able to do stairs. The three bedrooms upstairs were comfortable and accommodated the other five in our party. The upstairs bathroom was large and worked well for us. The half bath by the main living area worked great for easy access when we were in that part of the house. The kitchen is well stocked and we found the built in cabinet separating the kitchen and dining room table to be very cleverly built. You can access dishes from both sides and had everything we needed including coasters, large coffee mugs and so much more! The view outside was so beautiful! Most of the time the sky was clear enough to see Mt Rainier…what a sight to see. We had some local family stop by for visits and they loved walking down the path to the lake and took beautiful pictures. Will definitely stay again! Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved it!!

Amazing Property!

This property is absolutely gorgeous. There are views of the lake from the upstairs, kitchen, living room, and back patio and yard. You can see Mount Rainier rising up beyond the tree line across the lake. The yard is giant and the patio goes the length of the house. There’s a huge lawn with paths going down to the lake. The backyard is shaded with trees, which kept it a perfect temperature. The kitchen had about everything. we really didn’t use the living room as the outside was so beautiful. There are French doors all along the backside of the house for easy access wherever you are. We really appreciated the wheelchair accessibility. The ramp in the front of the house made it easy to get my elderly mother in the house. The downstairs bedroom had easy access to a bathroom with handles in the shower and by the toilet. It also had a little sitting area with a bed so I could sleep near her and keep an eye on her. When we had a problem with the Wi-Fi they sent someone else to fix it and didn’t give up and tell was taken care of. Great service. There is not a dock, but there are places to moor your boat on the lake. we were surprised at the small amount of lake traffic boats on the lake even during a warm sunny weekend. We loved it so much and really wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Charming and so peaceful!

Our party of six truly enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and so relaxing. Gorgeous views on the lake where we saw two bald eagles and lots of other birds. The house was spacious and comfortable. We loved all of the historical items that decorated the home.

Everyone felt right at home, especially grandmother who loved her bedroom suite on the main level. The back patio with lake view and trail to the rocky beach was stunning. Everyone got a chance to skip rocks. Thank you so much!

Lovely home on American Lake. We enjoyed the fabulous backyard and lake front. We brought kayaks and paddle boards and spent many hours playing in the water.We like to cook when we get together with family and this home is pretty well stocked for making big meals.Our only suggestion would be adding a couple of large pots with lids, for things like corn on the cob.

Perfect, relaxing retreat

I had a relaxing mini reunion with friends from high school (we graduated in 1984). The house was perfect for our gathering - -beautiful, clean, quiet, nicely furnished, well-stocked with high end bowls, plates, kitchen appliances, and in a lovely waterfront setting with views of wildlife and Mt Ranier (when it wasn’t hiding in the clouds).

Exceeded Expectations!

I cannot say how perfect this location was for our festive family reunion! The house itself is a classic single family lakefront home, with a tasteful, modern addition. A comfortable patio under old oak trees, with a view of the lake and the mountain. Most importantly, we were gathered for my sister's 70th birthday. She's confined in a wheelchair, but because of the upgrades and attention to accessibility, my sister was very comfortable and felt safe and steady with how everything was laid out. I'm so grateful to have found this place for this special family gathering!

90th bday

Property is in a private and quiet location with beautiful lake and mountain views. The downstairs master bedroom, family room and kitchen worked great for elderly parents with mobility issues. Three other bedrooms located upstairs. We had a minor issue that was quickly resolved by the, property management company. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return someday.
