Really nice cabin!!

Great space for our family Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful family vacation to Lake Tahoe. This place was in a great location and had great space for 4 teens, 5 adults and a baby. The kitchen was adequately stocked for our Thanksgiving feast. The beds were very comfortable, and we had enough linens. Our biggest disappointment was that the hot tub was not open. "Closed until ski season" The place is pretty outdated though. The carpet was very dirty in the living area, and the linoleum floors were interesting. There were a lot of spiders webs around the fire place. We also had to make sure we staggered showering and washing dishes because the hot water heater isn't strong enough for that many people. Overall, we had a great time and would consider returning to the place in the future.

Great location

St Francis condos are always a great location. Excellent communications from Hauserman Rental Group, responsive to calls and friendly staff! There unit was pretty much as expected. Kitchen was well supplied but had extremely dim lighting; overhead light bulbs need to be installed that are much brighter wattage. Repairs needed to have been done on: (1) one completely loose bottom stair tread (causing one in our group to fall); (2) screen door off dining area is loose, needs replacing; (3) one stove burner did not light up (possible fire hazard). For a unit that boasts accommodation of 10 people, more than 2 parking spaces should be available. We parked 2 cars down the driveway some distance. We (party of 7) enjoyed our stay at St. Francis condos as always.

Change in property did not meet our requirements.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We believe Hauserman cancelled our original booking to avoid the VRBO fees. The replacement accommodation was clearly inferior to what we had booked. It was less spacious, run down, the oven did not work, a recliner seat in the couch was broken, and the couch was grimy. We believe you have increased your profit by avoiding the VRBO fees and overcharged us for a clearly inadequate property. I am considering informing VRBO of this, and placing a review on Trip Advisor. I look forward to your explanation and a partial refund.

Beautiful grounds, Condo lacking

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Saint Francis complex sits on a well maintained, family friendlylocation. Walk to beach,pool,pier,pickleball courts. Saint Francis 14 was in need of some TLC. Management was very good responding to our request to fix the various issues with the unit. The rugs were filthy and stained, the bbq had to be replaced because of a gas leak. Screen door to main porch area constantly falling off it's rails. A water leak under sink had to be addressed. Screens on most windows were full of dust. I know most of the units don't have AC but this unit became especially hot in the afternoons and the upstairs bedroom became too hot to sleep in. The unit was well stocked with furniture and kitchen wear. The selling point of this condo was location on great grounds, near Tahoe City and many bike/hiking trails. Again, the management company was very responsive to our concerns but the unit needs some upkeep.

Great condo, great location!

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean and just like the listing! Very spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked and they gave us cards and games to play during our downtime. The hot tub was an added bonus! Restaurants and stores were all close by also. It was a short drive to the mountain to ski, only about 20 minutes. We would gladly stay again if/when we find ourselves in Tahoe!

Adequate but not worth it.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is adequate: Pluses incl: nice layout and furnishings in the great room, beds are comfortable, good pots and pans and outdoor grill for cooking. And of course it is located in St Francis Lakeside which is awesome!! Minuses: shower stalls are very small and when the water turns scalding, at least once per shower, they're dangerous; poor lighting throughout; website highlights that the deck off the upstairs bedroom faces a forest. Not true. It faces a roadway that was being finished during our stay. Trucks going back and forth, all day, daily - noisy and dirty. The road may now be complete, but it will serve as the way to get to the new home being built next to the HOA. It is not a private deck and half the space is used for storing firewood. While the condo can sleep 10, the dining room table only seats 8 comfortably. The condos in this section of the property seem stacked on top of each other...all of us could see into each other's windows from every room.I would recommend this property for a few days in the winter when your primary reason to be there is to ski. 4 adults and up to 6 young children.

Not recommended

Bedroom on the 2nd floor gets very hot during summer. A fan is provided but it doesn't help much (no cooling AC). Old mattress that hurt our backs. Clogged sink in 2nd floor's bedroom. Will pay more for a cleaner, better quality stay next time.

Great location!

We enjoyed a fun weekend with family and friend. The property had a great location. We loved the proximity of the dock to watch sunrises, sunsets and stargazing. It was also a great place to enjoy when other parts of the lake were crowded. The property was clean and just the right size for our group of 8 (mostly adults). The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the bbq was very convenient. The rooms were a good size ( we especially liked having two masters) although the mattresses on the top bunks were squeaky.

Summertime Dream

We can’t wait to come back! The property is walking distance to the lake, great amenities, pol, volleyball, tennis. A Pier for boat drop-off and pick up! Home was large enough, and well stocked!

Great in most ways

Just a couple of things kept me from giving it 5 starts: 1. We were in 6 adults and 4 children, and the house sleeps 10 - however, the hot water isn't enough for 10, so we had to take breaks between showering to make sure everybody had hot water 2. The spa is sub standard, doesn't even have a proper private shower - walking many yards back to the unit with wet clothes in cold weather isn't my idea of a nice hot tub after snowboarding. 3. The wifi wasn't working. We had to move the router from the bedroom to the living room and connect it to a different coax cable to get it to work.

Average townhome

We had a great visit to Tahoe. The location of the townhome is great, and we were able to sleep 10 quite comfortably. Everything was clean and well-stocked. The biggest downside is that all of the amenities and appliances are extremely outdated. 3/4 burners in the kitchen wouldn't lite, the bottom floor bedrooms got extremely hot, the jets in the jacuzzi don't work, and it took us about 20 minutes to find the router and wifi password when it could have easily been displayed somewhere. Overall, great stay, but this property is quite expensive for what you're getting.

Great townhouse

Great townhouse to stay with friends while in town for skiing and snowboarding. Living room and kitchen is well equipped and was plenty of room to lounge and hangout. Located only a short walk to the lake which was beautiful to see at sundown. Hauserman Rental Group provided fantastic customer service and was a hop, skip, and jump, from the townhouse. 10/10 would stay again.
