I would recommend the Paddock to any prospective holiday maker, lovely location, beautiful property and the owners were first rate, caring and kind and willing to help with any local information or any queries we had. We had our young dog with us and they were fantastic regarding places we could walk him and take him with us to. Excellent value for money. The only reason we graded one question at an eight was that the king room bed is getting a bit past it and will probably need replaced in the near future. There was some noise pollution at night as we were staying during the busy harvest period, we took this as par for the course as the accommodation is on a working farm and I am sure that the owners given the excellent pricing have factored this in, it certainly did not affect our enjoyment of our holiday and we would book again at the same time of year or at any other time. The Paddock is a very comfortable holiday cottage with fine views which is obviously aired and heate

The Paddock is a very comfortable holiday cottage with fine views which is obviously aired and heated so that there is no "musty" smell that can be all too common in this type of accommodation. A major plus was that dogs were welcome. The neighbours are lovely too. :) We were warmly greeted by the owner, who gave us tips for walking and sightseeing around the area. There was a "welcome tray", which gave us everything we required to make a much-needed cup of tea/coffee when we arrived; there was even shortbread! There was plenty of storage/hanging space. Portmahomack itself is a very friendly village with a beautiful sea-front and is only a few minutes' walk from the cottage. The location makes a good centre for travelling around the area; there is so much to see. We would highly recommend The Paddock for a walking/touring holiday. Thanks to the care and attention of the owners, the cottage is immaculate in all respects including kitchen equipment and quality furnishings. As a holiday rental it sets the bar very high and with the very warm and helpful welcome it is ideal for those seeking a comfortable and quiet farm location which is only five minutes away from the facilities of nearby Portmahomack.
