  • This beautiful coastal home is the perfect oasis for families, guy's fishing trip, girl's getaway and excellent for large groups. With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms that accommodates 16 but with room for everyone to have their own space. It is located directly across from Shell Point Beach with exquisite views of the gulf. If you are looking for a place to chill this is the getaway for you.
This home was built in 2019 for our growing family but for other families to make memories as well. The main floor has an open floor plan. As you enter from the covered porch into the living area it flows on into the dining and kitchen area. The living area has a 50” TV and wonderful views of the gulf. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining area has seating for 8+.
The master bedroom and bath are on the main floor with a king bed and 40" TV. The bedroom has an entrance from the covered porch with a view of the gulf and the canal.
Upstairs you will find 4 additional bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom has a king bed, 2 bedrooms with a queen bed each. There’s a bunk room for the kids with 2 twin over full bunks and an additional twin with twin trundle. Plenty of space for everyone and privacy for couples.
The location is hard to beat. We are directly across the street from the beach with unobstructed views of the gulf. On the beach you will find a volleyball court, playground for the kids, several pavilions and bathrooms for your convenience. The back side of our home is directly across from the boat ramp which is very convenient for boat launching. You are welcome to bring your boat and there is plenty of parking for a trailer at our property.
There is a covered porch on the front and a deck area on the side. This is the perfect place to enjoy the sunrise with your coffee or the breathtaking sunsets in the evening.
For your convenience there is a cargo lift for getting luggage and groceries up and a concrete area underneath for parking or outside entertaining.
All linens are provided, ample supply of towels, toilet tissue and paper towels. Laundry room with full sized washer and dryer with all the laundry essentials.
Children are more than welcome but pets are not allowed. This is also a non-smoking home and smoking is not allowed inside.
We are sure you will find everything you need and more in this beach retreat.

The layout, with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, was perfect for a large group. The location was really nice, just across the road from a public beach, and in an area of very nice upscale houses. It's a little remote, but there are several excellent restaurants within a 20-30 minute drive. The kitchen was the most completely equipped I have ever experienced in a rental. Overall, a great Florida beach vacation experience.

We went in July with temps in 90s but we were still able to enjoy sitting outside on the covered porch. It was well-positioned to take advantage of the breeze and stay cool. The 11 of is stayed very comfortably either room to be together and spread out. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking. Three bathrooms with a generous amount of towels and every bed was quite comfortable; some firmer, some softer so folks had options. Easy access to the water and beach. You’ll need to bring your own beach kit. While there are a few beach toys there were not chairs or umbrellas (understandably). Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend.

Great place!

We had a great time staying here. Close walk or golf cart ride to the beach, plenty of room inside, everything we needed to enjoy our stay was at the house.

We had an amazing time at this property. We had 3 families (each with one child) and all of us fit comfortably with room to spare. The space was lovely, and had a nice coastal feel. Very chic but not ostentatious. The home was extremely well stocked!!! The kitchen had everything! Plenty of cookware, utensils, silverware and paper/plastic ware, foil, ziplock bags, seasonings, condiments, etc. All we needed from the grocery store was food/drinks. Everything else was there. The livingroom/dining table had enough seating for all of us to sit together. The bathrooms had towels, toilet paper, and all other bathing/toiletry needs. The bedrooms were a good size and beds comfortable. The kids loved the bunk room upstairs. There was even a washer/dryer. And of course I can’t go without mentioning the FABULOUS view!!! The area was quiet, peaceful and serene. The only hiccup we had (and it turned out to not be a big deal at all) was that the WiFi happened to be down during our stay. It was all good though. We were able to access using our personal hotspot. And really we spent our time enjoying one another, so the lack of WiFi never presented a big concern. We came to go to an FSU game in Tallahassee. It was only about a 45 minute drive. And it was great to have this place to come and retreat to after a fun-filled day of football and activities. If/when we come back we will 100% stay at the Bird’s Up Retreat again. Great memories were made and looking forward to more to come.

Location for fishing is great. House was clean and we had everything we needed for comfort. One idea would be a larger grill. With eight people plus typically staying there, it's difficult to have all the food ready at once. again, everything was great and we would definitely rent again, if available. Thanks for the hospitality.

Shell Point Beach house

It was a spacious house with beautiful views of water. The kids love how close they were to the beach & playground. It worked great for my daughter's families & I because we come to the area to visit for a family reunion in Crawfordsville.

Great house in an amazing location!

We had a 3 generation vacation here over a long weekend. The house was immaculate and included everything we needed to be comfortable. There is ample common space inside, a great deck upstairs and lots of room under the house for gathering. The views were amazing and the beach is across the street. The owners were very prompt in all communications and have detailed instructions on anything related to the house, procedures, etc. as well as a great guidebook for area restaurants and attractions. We didn't use the golf cart, but it was a nice option to have. As "dad the pack mule" one of my favorite features was the lift to get all our stuff up and down. We brought our 24' bay boat and had no issues docking. The ramp is across the cove and one of the easiest setups we've experienced traveling with the boat. Plenty of room around the house to park the truck without unhooking the trailer and still have space for multiple other vehicles. We loved it and look forward to returning!

Great time had by all 9 of us!

My family (me, my wife, my two kids ((ages 12 + 15)), and my wife's brother and his family )(wife and 3 kids ages 3, 5, 7,) spent five nights at the house. There was plenty of room and then some for all! The beach is right across the street, and very easy to access. The younger kids really enjoyed playing on the beach and exploring in the water for hermit crabs and starfish and other sea creatures. The beach is very nice, and not too busy. It's not like the waters of the open Gulf or the Atlantic, but nice. The house is not only very spacious, but was clean and has everything you need. The back dock on the channel is an added bonus for putting in kayaks, or doing a little fishing. We kayaked both in the bay and in the channels, and caught a few fish. We even saw a few manatees in the channels. The hosts were very helpful and were quick to answer all the questions we had before, during, and after the stay. Highly recommend staying here. Especially families with kids.

WOW! This house has it all including great hosts!

Let's start with water on all four sides! The beach is a short walk, there is a dock to park your boat with easy access to the ocean, and a ramp that is just a short drive/walk. Access to the golf cart in this community was a great amenity. The house itself was well furnished and appointed; the hosts really thought about what would be used in the house from dishes, to cookware to condiments! We have stayed as a family at multiple short term rentals and this is by far and away the best. Great location. Great amenities. Great house. We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets on each day. If you want to be on the forgotten coast this is the house for you. Thank you to the hosts for great communication and especially for sharing your piece of heaven!
