Pros and cons to every place one stays. Pros: there is a bay outside the front that I did see (two) dolphins in. The owner is quick to respond. The room has the basic essentials. The pools (bc FL) were warm and the clubhouse nice. Cons: I arrived on a Sunday and PM’d the owner. There was a strong smell of toxic chemicals in the interior hallway of the building (not in her unit). I noted in smelled of mold killer, pesticide, or strong paint chemicals. She noted they painted recently, I noted it was stronger. But I opened the door, blew the fan, tired to make the best. The sheets also smelled strongly of bleach and the Orkin guy came Thur. and sprayed the outside. On Thursday a management guy came to check out the smell (he should have just gone in the hall), which was 4-5 days after. I told him to return after check out on Friday. I would not recommend to anyone with a chemical sensitivity. Also the private beach had no swimming signs. Was tiny. The room has ok/fine. Perfectly usable but not fancy. Priced accordingly. There were a few bugs but not bad. —Remote area. A lot of locals told me they think of Ruskin FL has a hidden gem. Check drive times prior if traveling elsewhere.
