Das Zimmer war wirklich in einem schlechten Zustand - der Boden verdreckt, das Mobiliar sehr abgenutzt. Der Tresor funktionierte nicht und wurde auch nach Rücksprache nicht repariert. Das Zustellbett bestand lediglich aus zwei übereinander gestapelten Matratzen, welche auch verdreckt und kaputt waren.

スイートルームが1.3万円程だったので思わず予約。 お部屋はリビングと寝室が別になっており、トイレが2箇所(内1箇所はシャワールームと兼用)で収納部屋まで用意されています。驚く程広いです！ 部屋は全体的に薄暗く調度品や絨毯からは旧ソ連の雰囲気がムンムンします。好きな人にはたまらないと思います。 最上階にはレストランがあります。 スタッフさんは皆英語を話せます。 コンセントの数や位置に難があると感じました。 また、私の部屋がハズレだったのかもしれませんが、シャワーから温水が出ませんでした…。

The entire building is in need of renovations/upgrades. While the sheets were clean, and there weren't bedbugs, the hotel feels dirty not because I can see dirt, specifically, but because the carpet, etc are so old they just need to be replaced. My room heater did have a "clicker" to try to get heat, but it didn't work, but fortunately there was a great extra blanket. (My travel companions didn't even have a clicker to try to use.) Staff were not very helpful or friendly. The gym was pathetic - the treadmill & another machine were in the hall and clearly not usable. All that was available was weight equipment and it was clearly well used. The restaurant (17th floor) staff was either insufficient, or unmotivated - both, it appears, as they did not seem to aim to please. Four of us waited 20+ minutes to order and then the food came out in no particular order, but the last person was served more than 30 minutes after the first person. Requests for items, such as silverware and napkins, were unfulfilled. The dessert bar (lobby level) had one dessert in the case, and some candy for purchase. What was clearly at one time a landmark grand hotel is now a shadow of it's former self.

We stayed in 2 different rooms. 1st room the sink was blogged, They tried to fix it but it didn’t work. Carpet was very old and dirty. No A/C, unit was controlled for the whole hotel from front desk, it was all in one unit. 2nd room had A/C with controller, (luckily). The room and bathroom could have used some upgrades. Carpet again old and dirty looking. The sink and tube had cracked tiles. Tv had no English Channel.

The room and the hotel are dated. For example, the carpet throughout was dirty and worn, bathtub was so high that a senior would find it extremely difficult to enter, the basin was draining slowly, the AC was switched off, the safe deposit box was not operational, etc. (When I complained, the reception staff noted down but could not help. An honest worker whispered to me to not insist for safe deposit box repair and risk my cash/documents getting trapped!.) On positive side, the hotel is at a great location and is familiar. Many major attractions and great restaurants are withing walking distances. Many tourist buses and public transportation are available right there. Breakfast was not luxurious but was fairly adequate in terms of variety and local flavors. Seniors should be cautious. Otherwise, it is okay, if you have to spend a night or two.

Cette belle d’autrefois demeure un hôtel de qualité à Tashkent. Très bien situé avec un personnel compétent et serviable. Sécuritaire, propre et tranquille, il offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Les balcons de la chambre sont utiles et pratiques. Heureux de mon séjour de 4 nuits. Son architecture brutalisme soviétique ajoute à son charme.

The Hotel Uzbekistan is an icon of Soviet-era Tashkent. While the lobby has been modernised, the rooms still feel straight out of the 1970s, and many corridors seem bizarrely abandoned. There’s nothing wrong with it as a hotel - just a little different to your average stay. Breakfast, service, cleanliness, facilities etc all good.

Hotel de diseño y ubicación excelentes, pero que no ha sido renovado probablemente desde la independencia del país. Ropa de cama y toallas viejas, cortinas viejas que no cierran, etc. Pésima limpieza de habitaciones, teléfono de recepción que nunca responde.

Hotel Uzbekistan may need a little TLC to bring it back to its original grandeur, but as it is we have no complains at all. Location is central and easy accessible from TAS airport, the Amir Temur metro station is right downstairs and it was very convenient for getting around the city. We were on the 15th floor and the room was absolutely quiet at night. The 4 roomy elevators worked fine. We had a small balcony and the room itself was larger than your average modern hotel room. The King size bed was a bit firm but comfy and the black out drapes were nice too. There was a sitting area by the entrance of the room with 2 arm chairs, a table and a lamp. Also a desk with a chair, a mini fridge with water bottles provided every day. There was also an electric kettle, cups and tea bags. There was plenty of storage, a big wardrobe and a chest drawer. Housekeeping cleaned the room everyday quickly and we would find it tidied up when we were back mid afternoon. Toiletries and slippers were provided. The buffet breakfast was varied, delicious and plentiful. My vegetarian husband had many options to choose from every morning. The bar had good service and a variety of drinks at fair prices. It was very pleasant to stop by for a cold beer after doing walking tours all day. All in all, we were very happy with our stay at hotel Uzbekistan, the staff was helpful, friendly and polite. Everyone spoke really good English. We would definitely stay there again.
