“Spacious and comfy bach with everything we needed for a weekend away with friends. The glazing offers such great views from all the living spaces. As already pointed out the kitchen is very small but we found it very functional - and the benchtop bifold out to the deck is brilliant. We found the bbq (situated out the back) was nearing the end of its life, as they do, but still managed steak for dinner. Hard to beat this private and well setup location.”

“This is one of the best surprises I've even had when booking a bach! We turned up to an amazing bach with a stunning view over Karikari Peninsula. It was beautiful, functional, well thought out and even solar powered. We booked for one night but really didn't want to leave. Super comfortable, somehow simple but luxurious - I would highly recommend staying here. The host was really friendly and helpful and it is close to some incredible beaches. “Patrick was an absolutely wonderful host and the arrival process was smooth and easy! It was the most stunning location with a lot of space for the seven of us that stayed. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay so we are hoping to stay again to get to spend some time outside on the property. One thing to note is that the property is completely off-grid. We loved this aspect but definitely worth knowing that there is just one composting toilet and one shower when you have a big group!……

“Super cosey well built cabin with a view to die for! A little piece of paradise where you automatically relax and unwind on arrival. Gorgeous alpacas and donkeys greet and welcome you also on arrival. There are a range of animals on a spacious farm block that all seem so relaxed and happy. Eggs and honey from the farm are delicious!! kindly given by the most gracious and amazing hosts. It is a quiet and private place where you feel like its just you and the very quiet donkeys at the back. We had……

Didn't realise how close the neighbours were and had to keep curtains closed most of the time to prevent neighbours on all sides seeing in. Wonderful and close access to the beach. Great to have our dog with us and would stay again but be wary of being there when other neighbouring baches had guests.”

“A new, well presented and well proportioned home for family of five (plus dog). Light and clean inside with large deck outside. Reasonably well equipped, though light on cups and good sized glasses, and no microwave (noting this wasn’t listed). For us it suited that the location meant there were no near neighbours but, at the same time, the property grounds and driveway were a bit of a building site and not yet developed. A delight to have the wild turkey and chicks roaming in the long grass.”

“The Hotel is a bit dated and needs a refreshing. All the lights on the way to our room were off and most disappointing, the pool was closed due to an outage. This can happen of course, but any kind of compensating this, was refused. We would have expected any sign to adjust the loss of using the pool area. It is that that reception was not willing to do so. As a consequence we did not use the restaurant on our second day. This behavior is not a 4 star hotel behavior. That's a pity.”
