“We were very impressed with the entire experience: beautiful home and grounds, cleanliness, staff, amenities…and had the whole place to ourselves. And a big thank you to Sharon, who made time to give us a tour and explain a lot of interesting history, and secret passages, in the house.”

“The staff are friendly and helpful, but my experience could’ve been better. It felt much more like an apartment than a hotel. First, there’s isn’t a coffee or water station. I’ve been at cheaper hotels like La Quinta Inn that managed to provide guests with a beverage station all day. It’s small comfort that’s missing. Second, the room’s lights are a cold white. It gives the rooms a clinical feel, as though you’re in an office or hospital. Third, they didn’t have a toothbrush or laundry……

“Good breakfast, staff was great, but my room (316) has some issues. Cable TV didn't work, and the shower also had some issues.”

“No extra blanket. Front desk would not answer. Housekeeping would not answer. Shower was COLD.”

“The staff was friendly. The room was a bit outdated, but it was clean and bed was comfortable.”

“Room was clean, no linens for the rollaway bed were provided. We went to the lobby to ask for it, staff seemed a little bothered but did go to 2nd level to get it. We followed him so he could hand it to us. While waiting for our food delivery at the lobby, a person staying was asking for linens as well for the rollaway bed and also a homeless person walked in got coffee from the lobby, dropped lids on the floor and walked out with a cup of coffee. There’s 25 parking spots right behind the……

“O checkup foi pesado o, a funcionária que me atendeu não me disse nada sobre a estadia, inclusive meu café estava incluído e ela não colocou no sistema, no outro dia no café fui contada!!! Meu quarto não tinha papel higiênico, nenhuma toalha de banho, nem toalha de rosto, nem tapete… nada …. Café ruim, após outra moça da recepção arrumar no sistema!! Estacionamento incluído e TAM em queriam cobrar! Resumo a funcionária do checkup foi extremamente incompetente!! Não fez nada que deveria fazer…”

“Many things about the property were not as promised. For example, the ice machine and washing machine did not work at all. Communication with the host was opaque. They sent all Expedia messages as attachments. The checkout instructions were inaccurate. I brought all issues to attention of the host but they never resolved any of them.”

“This would be a great place to go with a large group like a family reunion or a wedding but we were there for the weekend for a basketball tournament by ourselves. The lodges are set up with a common area in the middle and the sound goes right through the doors. We had people playing pool at midnight and could hear everything. We could also hear the people above us walking around and there was a squeaky spot in the floor that they stepped on over and over. They were early risers, about 6……
