“The room was fine but the bed was not comfortable at all. It was very soft and if you have a bad back I would not recommend staying here. It was small but I expected it to be based on the pictures and the room we selected. The hotel is close to town so you can walk to most restaurants and shops. There was an issue with the air conditioner but it was addressed pretty quickly via a phone call and a reset of the system on-line.”

“This is such a cute inn with all the amenities that are needed. It is wonderful to be able to just check yourself in without waiting in line. The space was clean, and tastefully decorated. The town, adorable. Parking isn't ideal for a large truck (we're driving through so, vehicle option wasn't negotiable for us) but we made it work! 5 stars, we can't wait to come back!”

“Loved this little hotel! The location is great, its funky cute and the roof top Bar is great fun. We spent the 4th of July there.Although the main Boston fireworks could only be partially seen- there were fireworks popping off all overBoston and the North Shore so there wasalog to see. Also, parking was convenient.”

“This is a great place to stay in Portsmouth. The rooms, living spaces, and outdoor areas are all very charming. The best part is the location. It is only a short walking distance to the Portsmouth shops and restaurants.”

“Bar staff not the most attentive. Ordered sandwiches after a long ride and 20 minutes later when I went to pick them up, the order was never given to the cook. Bar staff was not going to say anything until I saw her entering in the order and called her out on it”

“I was not impressed by this property for a few reasons: cleanliness wasn't great, the bedding was rough to the touch and frayed on the side, we only had 3 bath towels for 4 people in the room, and the air conditioning was not adequate for the hot weather. We could not adjust the temperature lower.”

“I have been traveling through the Portsmouth, NH area for a few years now and have stayed at the Anchorage Inn and Suites. It has steadily declined in condition. While there has been promise of much needed update and remodel for years, it has not happened. This will be my last stay. The room was worn beyond acceptable. Smoke alarm hanging from the ceiling, holes in the walls, an unpleasant odor and an elevator that sounds like it is in need of help. No amenities. I understand the old……
